It depends on their switch and how they program the protocol, and if the Tech knows what he is doing too. If the Telco is using a GTD-5 it may be difficult compared to the DMS switches. They can change it to NI2 pretty quick as I've had to do it in the past when cut from a Option 11 to the Mitel.
I'll try it tomorrow and see. Mitel tech support said I didn't need a member in Tones to detect, but it's not working now so I'll up the timer and add the NA in there. Wish they stayed with the PRI.
Sounds Like you are using NI-1/DMS100 if the set display is being sent. In form 19 set the tenant CPN there for outbound. The easier way to fix this is have the telco program the PRI as NI-2 and then they send the name display, but you can control the outbound number if you wish.
I'm running a Mitel 3300 MXe controller, software version 7.
The issue is when dialing out on analog lines the customer gets "The call cannot be completed as dialed, please try again" from the telco anywhere from 10%-50% of the time. It doesn't matter what number is dialed, or whether it's...
We had a hard time with it too but ended up using PBX logger www.aggsoft.com and works great. They have a free trial so try it and maybe it will give you more info into the string you need or how to get the rest of it.
OK I will try that and see how it works, I assumed you had to use the SVP server with the 8020/8030 sets. I will try some access points we have in our office.
Thanks again!
Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure what you mean by using mms on the access points.
I will try the sample config you posted and see if I can get rid of the SVP server.
I had a similar problem with a Spectralink 8000 SVP. I found the access point was only allowing the device out to the gateway and it couldn't see the rest of the LAN to connect to the SVP Server. Check the access point programming.
Try programming an ext with all 4 received digits and see if it rings to that set first. Delete the entry from form 55 first. sounds like everything is hitting the console. Where I am located the PRI is programmed as wink, not sure if the carrier would even know the Mitel switch. Try changing it...
I'm trying to get a spectralink 8020 set to register as a SIP set on a Mitel 3300ICP ver 4.2
I can get a free app on my iphone to work with the 3300 but not the spectralink, it won't register. The spectralink sees the SVP and gives dial tone which must be from the SVP, but when I push the line...
Well seems to be the Astra analog sets they wanted don't like MWI. Put a bittel set on there and works perfect.
So note that for yourselves to avoid the grief, don't use the Astra sets on the ASUII. The weird part is that apparently they have the same sets at a different school but the...
Brand new 3300ICP release 4.2 with ASUII 24 port ONS card, and none of the message waiting lights are working on the analog sets with embedded vmail.
Checked programming and seems fine in ONS/OPS Circuit descriptor, and is applied in analog sets form.
Dialed feature code to activate message...
Check the IP address from your LAN port and the OAM port, they might be interfering. If I remember right they changed the default IP addresses in ver 5, but I'm not sure without looking in one.
The Tel provider you use for the lines needs to send the companys name unless the CO switch is setup as DMS100 then you can send the phones name out as well.
We are connecting 3 sites with BCM versions 3.6, 3.7, and 4.0 using VoIP H323 gateways. The 2 sites running 3.6 and 3.7 are working but can't get the 4.0 working.
Are there compatibility issues with the old and newer versions? Does anyone have this setup working and what settings do you have...
Ended be the trunk circuit descriptor. I made a new one and it worked, but can't figure out why the original descriptor wouldn't have worked, it's the same. It's an old POS so I won't dwell on it. Lesson learned for next time.
I checked programming again and looks OK so I disabled and enabled the SMDR in form 16 and now I can see when I call into the system with SMDR monitor on it only shows the trunk, the time/date, and duration but no phone number.
I Tried deleting and building the printer port in form 34 but seems...
The programming was already there and working. The only difference was the trunks being changed from ground start to loop start.
Is there anything different in programming between the 2 types? I can't see any, it's just jumpers on the trunk card that should have nothing to do with smdr.
I did...
