Blocking specific fax calls while allowing voice calls

I guess I didn't explain myself very well. We occasionally get complaints that we kept someone up at night because a fax machine was dialing their home or cell phone number by mistake. They occasionally ask us to block our phone system from ever dialing their number again. For a normal business...

Blocking specific fax calls while allowing voice calls

I'm trying to determine if there's a way to block specific fax calls from going out on the PRI trunks while allowing voice calls to the same number(s) to go out normally. Everything I have read on here deals with complete blockage of a number. SDRR DENY blocks all outbound calls to a specific...

    Phantom Tn cleanup

As with any cleanup project you'll want to save a copy of whatever you're deleting in case you need to recreate it. I run a full TNB listing every couple of months and save it as a text file in case I need to recreate something later.

    Restricting extensions from paging

I agree as far as using a trunk route to control access but how can I generate DTMF out of a trunk card so that it can interface with a paging connection that would normally use a CO or analog extension feeding into it? (All the trunk paging we currently use is basically an open audio feed into...

    Phantom Tn cleanup

Run a listing of unused DN's (LD 20 PRT LUDN) and find a block of numbers that you are not using. Add an extra digit (or more) to the beginning of the original the extension to create a temporary extension (i.e extension 1234 could become 51234). Wait for someone complain that 1234 doesn't work...

    Restricting extensions from paging

I have an overhead paging module that requires an analog extension but I need to control which extensions have access to it. Is it possible for a user to dial a trunk access code so that I can restrict who get access via TGAR/TARG permissions and then send the allowed callers it to the paging...

Agent Desktop Display (ADD) not fully connecting

The firewall wasn't the issue. Our vendor figured out that the multicast coming from the server needed to be the highest priority and it wasn't set that way. Once he changed the setting the ADD was receiving all the correct information.

    FCAS

If you want to accurately maintain NPA/NXX's in your switch go to the North America Numbering Plan Administrator's web page. For NXX's - The link is http://www.nanpa.com/reports/reports_cocodes_assign.html Scroll down to the "CO Code (Prefix) Status - Excel Spreadsheet Files" section. Download...

Agent Desktop Display (ADD) not fully connecting

We're having a problem getting the ADD to work on all computers. When we start the ADD application the user's name and login ID appears in the title bar but we never get the real statistics to populate. The screen says "Logging into CCMA server CCMS01, please wait". I have used the mRcv...

CLS - DDV, MCDD, PKCH, SLKD

There are four CLS settings that I can't find listed in the NTPs for a digital station. Can anyone shed some light on what these four settings are used for?

Thanks Stanley, that did the trick.

    D-channel monitoring not working

I have used LD 96 D Channel monitoring on other switches with no problem but I'm on a switch that is is not showing any activity. This is a Release 5 switch and I don't recall seeing the trace output information before. The docs don't give me any information as to what they are for and where...
