Does anyone have a good source for refurb parts for an Avaya LX? Evidently the mainboard is fried on one of our remote systems and our vendor is quoting $2500 for the parts. Is it just me or does that sound a little overpriced?
So far as we know, the systems are in about 18 of the lower 48 states. Some states have more than one system - I think there are 30 known systems at present.
I appreciate the information everyone is providing so far.
I guess what I'd really like to know is if there are any training classes available anywhere or CBTs. We're not only going to be responsible for documenting the systems, but also for the maintenance on the systems.

We're in a central 'corporate' office and need to document remote locations. We have to call the receptionist at each location and have them dial us into the Merlin/Magix.

A co-worker and I were recently assigned the task of documenting our Merlin locations. The problem? Neither of us have any experience with this type of system. We'd love to go to a training class but haven't had any luck.
The question is: is anyone teaching Merlin-type classes any more?
