Forwarding an incoming PRI DID call to a cell phone without an attached phone

Between all these posts, we got it to work. The remote package was the key. Thanks, "DBrewsky"!!!!!!! So it's destination code, route, remote package. Put them all together and we're golden!!!

Forwarding an incoming PRI DID call to a cell phone without an attached phone

Hi, "hawks". Tried your suggestion, but the system won't let me assign a destination code that has matching digits for a target line. Need a little clarification on the dial out number. I've selected PRI-A for the pool since there is only one PRI. So the calls are coming in, for example, on...

Forwarding an incoming PRI DID call to a cell phone without an attached phone

Thanks "fonegal". The CCR tree is a really good idea. Trying to avoid the extra hop as well as the phone in the closet. I realize the MICS isn't a complex system, but I'm hoping it can do the redirect without the CCR transition or phone set. Your input is definitely appreciated and those...

Forwarding an incoming PRI DID call to a cell phone without an attached phone

Working with a Norstar MICS 6.1. Would like to hard code forward inbound calls to a specific DID back out to a cell phone by redirecting the call internally without a phone attached. Seem to remember doing something similar with two MICS tied together so I applied the same logic using...

Connecting two MICS back to back - same location

Yes, we have used all available expansion ports. Since this writing, we were able to locate a vendor in the vicinity of this site with installations of this nature. They will be assisting us with the installation. Thanks so much for the response.

How to Change Outbound Caller ID my Norstar T7361E?

You can do this unique to each phone/DID. Your administrator will need to complete this request. Not something you do from your phone. Have them log in, go to Telephony > Sets > Active Sets. Tab is "Line Access". Select your extension and then the "Properties" tab. "Pub. OLI" is the first...

Connecting two MICS back to back - same location

We have a site with a MICS 7.0XC installed that is out of ports. Considering adding a second MICS using a T-1 connection for additional ports. Does anyone have experience with this type of an application that can provide some "caution" and "beware of" items that would be good to know before...

Moving an ANS DN button on a BCM-400

I was afraid of that. Thanks.

Moving an ANS DN button on a BCM-400

Does anyone know how to move an answer DN button on a BCM-400. We've tried FEATURE *81 and it's not working. Everything I can find in the documentation indicates this cannot be done - but the admin at the site insists the button appeared in a different location from where it is. Her faceplate...

Restricting all but internal and 911 calls - MICS 6.1

Sounds like a good idea to add a restriction for *67 to that filter. Can't hurt. Thanks for the heads up! Appreciate your confirmation on the filter programming.

Restricting all but internal and 911 calls - MICS 6.1

So then I would be: Restrict: A Override: 911 On a set filter, this will allow only internal and 911 calls. Correct?

Restricting all but internal and 911 calls - MICS 6.1

Can anyone confirm restriction and overrides for a filter to only allow internal and 911 calls from a phone set. We want to restrict calls from a shop floor so calls cannot be placed off site - except 911. I'm using filter 05 and think it should be: restrict: 9A override: 9911 Is that...

    SMDR

CDR is Call Detail Recording. You still need to have the SMDR to capture and send data to the recording system. We use MicroCall. www.microcall.com SMDR sends call data to a MicroCall buffer instead of a printer. Buffers are on the LAN and dump data to the main computer on a real time basis...

    PRI Lost Calls

Just a wild stab - but do you have anything in the Business Name field (in System Programming)? We've seen this mess things up as some carriers are not equipped to handle this data from the phone system. Not really a critical field to have programmed so you should leave it blank.

    Hacking a Norstar MICS

Sure do appreciate everyone's input. The system that was hacked had three openings that we feel were the cause of the penetration. The input from everyone confirmed we were not missing any area that could allow an opening. Redirect was allowed, voice mail ports were not restricted, outcalling...

    Hacking a Norstar MICS

Thought about deweyhumbolt's reply concerning message notification. I can restrict the voice mail ports to local and toll free (01) and allow an override to a specific parameter if the user needing notification has a mobile device with a number outside the local calling area of the phone...

    Hacking a Norstar MICS

We recently had a Norstar MICS hacked resulting in numerous calls to off shore locations. Would like to be sure that I have checked / closed all possible areas where a phreaker could get thru the system and place these calls. Would anyone be able to provide areas to watch, settings to check...

Call Pilot 150 database defaulting on it's own

That is what I thought - but it is on a UPS. The phone system, and UPS, are less than 2 years old. We have an APC Smart-UPS XL1500VA with a SUM48RMXLBP2U add on battery. I would think that would be enough to protect and power a MICS, 7 0X16 and 4 0X8A station mods, CP150, SMDR, RAD, and music...
