No, there are no data connections in the package at all. Everything is done from the script.... I know this is not recommended by M$- invoking applications in a script... but it is necessary for this project.
The data sources are dynamic and I have to loop through them, so this was the...
MrDataGuy- thanks for the response. Unfortunately, neither of those did the trick.
In both cases, the variable used as the file name is in all lower case as well.
I ran it both ways though just to check.
UPDATED INFO: This script is part of an SSIS package and when I ran it from SSIS, it...
I am having an issue with Excel in a script. When the script finishes, Excel continues to exist as a running process if (and only if) I use a variable as the saveas file name. If I hard code the file name the process releases just fine (see comment under dim fileName_New line).
Not sure why...
Did an upgrade r5 this weekend, uninstalled vmailpro and reinstalled r5.
I recreated everything else (AA, callbacks, etc...) and then got to this one. Seems to be working so far- first thing I noticed was that Week Planners now default to OR instead of AND... that's good. Makes it less...
I actually have to have an analog phone off hook inline with my paging system in order to get it to work. Pretty much the same symptoms as you describe.
in the programming I am using all 24 hour- I think you have to because the schedules don't allow for 12h.
I was using the am/pm merely for those of us in the states to clarify that when I was typing 07:00 that I did mean in the morning.
I assure you that all times are programmed in 24h
TomMills - yeah that confuses me too!
Yes these are live, but I am the only one utilizing it right now so I don't that would interfere.
I had it working with 2 conditions both using AND for their indiv weekly planners.Like so:
Test M-F 4:30-7:00
TRUE--> call extension 1
FALSE-->test M-F...
Thanks for all the help... yeah, the conditions are complicated but it shouldn't be that hard to get consisitent rules for the programming.
In the help, it says to set the week planners to OR but that's simply not the case.
I deleted everything and started over adding them one at a time so far...
if I change the planner to AND it evaluates as FALSE, but per my understanding this would mean M 04:30-07:30 AND T 04:30-07:00 AND etc... which would be the imaginary time loop that everyone is always pointing out so it will never evaluate as TRUE.
I set it up so that I have one condition now- M-F 04:30 - 07:00. (set up as OR)
If true, then call extension 1
if false, then call extension 2
Right now the vmail server time is 9:20
I call and it evaluates as true and calls extension 1.
Nope- still defaults to the first condition as true.
I deleted everything using the 4.2 client on Windows xp.
recreated module called Afterhours
recreated the four conditions
each condition's weekplanners are set to OR
set up module so start point goes to test condition 1.
if true assisted...
I was told not to use the newer client if my vmail server was still on 4.1.
I will reprogram with the client that's installed on the vmail server. I can go direct to its console so I don't have to use rdp...
Not on site right now but I will do this first thing when I get there and post the...
