    Yes we have the webclient. Last week we restarted the webclient and it got its scheduled reporting capabilities back but the thick client is still non-functional. We need to reboot it to troubleshoot backup issues so we'll see if it fixes whatever reporting issues it has.

    I would try breaking up the large report in two separate ones. It's not unreasonable to assume that the database forces a timeout on queries that take longer then <insert threshold here> but I can't confirm that for sure.
