After logging into the Netpath modem via dialup, successfully entering my username and password, I enter the Xpar command. I then see the message "The host is already in transparency mode." I then just get the Net-Path prompt back. What does this message mean and how can I access the CS1000 when...
A customer recently had a power failure thanks to Ike. When the power was restored, the CICS 4.0 came back up but the flash 2.0 doesn't work. None of the flash feature codes will work. I can call the voice mail DN and the flash answers with the log: prompt. I tried the sm mailbox and password...
Your solution with the hunt groups will work. What I do is give the attendant 5-6 intercom keys and have the hunt groups ring only. You can name them with the name of the company and even give each a distinct ring so she knows which company the call is for. The biggest drawback is that if there...
On a MICS 7.0 with PRI, is there any way to conference more than three people together? I know I could conference one external and one internal, then have the second add an external and another internal, and so on, but that would tie up all of the phones pretty quickly. The set I'm using is a...
A few months ago, I was working as a consultant to the Commonwealth of KY. I heard a familiar click coming from a closet and I opened the door to find an ITT 10A2 hanging on the wall. There was also a newer Comdial to which the phones in that office was connected, so I was suprised that I had...
That would probably work, but it wouldn't be secure. I believe you would have one-way audio as well since the set would be most likely located behind NAT unless each location where they used the sets had static public addresses as well.
One of my customers is trying to transfer callers to a mailbox from a T7406e. When she enters the feature code, it always puts the caller on hold and never displays the "mailbox:" message. If she enters the mailbox anyway and releases, the caller is still on hold. As she's in another state, I...
You'll need to set up a VPN for box for them to take along if they want to use a hard set. The better way would be for them to use a softphone (i2050) and use a VPN client on their laptop. They would launch the VPN at each new location, open the softphone, and done.
SupportDude, there is no VPN between these two sites. Each pc at each site has a VPN connection to the Corporate location. Would a VPN device (BSR222 etc.) break the software VPN connections currently in use?
Thanks for the help. The HDD had over 150 bad sectors and the system message now prompts me to insert the NT CDROM to attempt file recovery. Time for a new HDD, I guess.
I'm looking at RCC for BCM 3.7. Anyone have a link to a site where I can download actual sample reports so the customer doesn't have to look through the user guide to see what he's paying for?
I do have access to the regional network but not the corporate where the current VPN tunnels from both the regional and remote locations are terminated. The corporate location will not be part of the voice network, just the regional and remote offices.
I want to install a BCM50e 3.0 at one regional office and have a couple of IP sets at a branch location. Only thing making the setup difficult is both locations are franchises and their Internet access is through the franchisee's network, which they access via a VPN. The IP phones would not use...
I ran across the same thing, and although it wasn't Centrex, the CO was still sending two short rings instead of the usual long one. The customer wanted AA to answer after 4 rings so I set it to 8 and it worked great. Try changing it to 0 rings and test it to make sure you're configuring the...
Part # is NT7B10AADH but the caps are blue, so the BFT has already been replaced. I'll try the monitor - I really didn't even realize you could attach one to the BCM.
BCM400 3.7, telephony services working ok, no voice mail, no data from the serial port, no packets from the Ethernet ports, voice mail inactive, no way to communicate with the box. Short of hardware replacement, can any of you tell me how to tell if this is caused by a bad BFT or by a bad HD?
I recently replaced an Octel system with an AVST voicemail system integrated with an Option 11 Rls, 24.24 using set emulation. The Octel used analog ports for voice paths and digital ports for cpnd info and mwi. The AVST uses digital ports for everything. When the Octel transferred a call to an...
