Thank you for the quick post whykap! I am currently online looking for the correct FXO module. My plan is to test it out on the router. When you say 2 and 4 port configurations do you mean it will only support 2 or 4 lines? If we needed more than 4 lines, we could just install another FXO module?
Hi All,
I'm reaching out to get input on an alternative to purchasing PRI's. Currently we have quite a few remote sites with 5 people or less. Due to the cost, a PRI or partial PRI is not a viable solution. Does anyone have experience in setting up the CCM with analog or BRI lines? Any issues...
Got an issue with alot of phones showing "No Ethernet". Also the laptops connected also show no link light. The jack and cabling are good. We also checked the switch port, good. When we unplug the phone from the equation, the laptop comes back up with a link light. If this were just one instance...
Thanks guys! I see in the system that one particular ext was used apparently as placing a call to Somolia. It shows the ext and also say "transfer". Looks like an outbound transfer was made. I went ahead and disabled that feature.
How can you block fraudulent calls being made into your VM system? Think someone might have called into our BCM/Call Pilot possibly accessed an ext and made some overseas calls. What feature can be turned off that will not allow this? I have asked that no one have vulnerable passwords onsite and...
looks like someone may have built a route and named it 000 unless that is a default. It is set to use line pool A. Destination codes has nothing in the field.
i just enabled redirect on the ext and have f4 already programmed to a key. will see if it works when i get someone from the site to test with me. if not i am going to need some help on building a route??
Thanks for the replies!! There is no dedicated line to that ext so i am going to rule out #1 as you suggested.
How can i program the set? i have added f4 to the set onto a key but when pressed it will allow the user to enter a 3 digit ext number only.
Hello All,
I am just looking for a simple solution to be able to activate CF to dial from an ext to a cell number after hours. Bare with me please as I am by no means an expert on the BCM so here goes My thoughts......
1) can it be as simple as gathering a feature code like *72 from the LEC...
I am in the Edge via VNC and have the BRU pulled up but it looks like everything is grayed out except for "XML Script-LOAD" , View script and Log. Apparently read only is what I have.
Thanks!! Yes, you are correct SupportDude, this an old one and only gives me the config icon. Actually, my question was going to be what is VNC? I tried to access via :5800 verses :6800 and it asks for a password. I know the password to the config menu, VM manager but never dealt with the VNC...
Obviously the Enterprise Edge is old and outdated but we still have one in operation working fine and wanted to add more VM ports but was told by our vendor that Nortel won’t sell keycodes or licenses anymore for that system. Have you all ran into this before??
Is there a section in Call Manager that shows me the serial numbers for the phones assigned? Note, I do not need the MAC address just the serial number. Thanks for your help.
