Obviously the Enterprise Edge is old and outdated but we still have one in operation working fine and wanted to add more VM ports but was told by our vendor that Nortel won’t sell keycodes or licenses anymore for that system. Have you all ran into this before??

I can say with 100% certainty that the software and hardware have been discontinued by Nortel.
Not so sure about the keycodes.
If the part number hasn't changed they should work.

ee is now called bcm ... (EE is 3 slots, BCM has 2 or 4)

your vendor is incorrect
to increase vm ports - no keycodes required, you can configure to a max of 32
you can buy keycodes still ....

if you want to go to the current release BCM just upgrade software (sometimes hardware too)

Upgrading a EE system if it can be done will mostly likely require you to replace the HD and reprogramming the system as you may have a smaller HD than the current 4.0 HD.

I just upgraded a 1000 3.6 to 4.0 with no problem.

we need a max of 64 VM ports. looks like we are going to upgrade to VOIP which is overdue.

If 56 ports is enough wait for the Bcm450, 56 VM ports max with CEC card installed.

sorry, 64 mailbox subscribers needed total. Right now when logging on and attempting to add, it says one more available.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't add more mailboxes.
It's just a keycode.
As a matter of fact, you can access the Nortel Keycode Retrieval System yourself and generate a Try N Buy.
You'll have to sign up for access if you don't have it, and you'll need your System ID.
If the Try N Buy works, it'll prove you can add mboxes, and you'll have the Try N Buys for 60 days while you work out the details with your vendor.

I don't think that is available for the edge. MD definately not sure about the EOL. If it is EOL I know you will get no support on this.

It all started with the Edge. All keycodes, since the inception of EE, have been generated using KRS.
And the earliest EE's came with 1000 mailboxes enabled out of the factory.
