Qwest tech did some research and found that 40 is part of the MF sequence to get the ANI from the tandem to our Meridian using CAMA trunks. 40 means a normal call, 44 means a flashing ANI, and 48 is used for testing.
The Meridian E911 software strips the digits before it delivers it to the...
The 40 does not show up on the 9-1-1 calltaker's screen.
This particular example is from a wireless 9-1-1 call that is answered first by an Interalia XMU, processed using route 50, member 1-12, and handled by our Symposium server. The caller either verbalizes or presses any key and the call is...
Hi, I have the following CDR record from an incoming 9-1-1 call over a CAMA trunk into our Meridian 81C. We're using the "new" CDR format.
S 032 00 T050001 1691 02/06 03:22:57 00:00:14.0 1691

I can recognize the area code and number of the caller (changed to protect the...
We have an 81c/Symposium/Plant-CML VESTA system with a T1 card QPC720E connected to a Lucent 5ESS VCDX. The T1 is used for DID and outbound 5 digit dialing to our City switch. Can QSIG or other signalling be added to provide caller ID between the two?
When we upgrade to CS1000, does the...
Using 81C in a 50 position 911 center, is there a limit to the number of 2216's that can have OBSERVE enabled?
I've heard that 8 is the upper limit, but we have 10 installed and working with no known issues. Would like to add several more.
Thanks!
I'm considering creating an emergency agent that when logged on will force Symposium to route calls off site to a backup location rather than skillset routing on premise.
Should this be done in the Master script or in each individual script? I have about 20 CDN's that would need this...
The TN of the agent is actively involved with the call through the entire process. We do have recorder channels on each CTI position we could tap into, but using the Meridian Observe is a lot easier since it is already part of our CTI and switch.
Meridian Option 81 with Symposium in our 50 position 9-1-1 center using 2216's and Plant/CML VESTA CTI. Supervisor or trainer using Observe to remotely monitor are disconnected when a caller is transferred/conference to an external number like Poison Control or another PSAP, but can immediately...
Can the ROUTE TO function be used to activate a SPRE code and then dial an external number? I want to use the CO transfer feature, conference the call, then release the connection for another incoming call. We have a SPRE code that will do a CO flash.
We have a Meridian 81C with Symposium running a 50 position 9-1-1 PSAP in Oregon. Current RANS advising callers of delays are produced from an Interalia MMU which is currently providing up to 8 callers the same announcement. Subsequent delayed callers wait until the RAN is ready and then they...
