Thanks for the information. Would the unit's software need to be downgraded?

    IP Office IP500 on a IP406

Can the new version IP Office IP500 30 phone exp module work on a IP406? One of our IP 400 v2 30 port exp module went out and our vendor told me the new IP500 modules will not work with the IP406.

    Voicemail Reception

We have Voicemail reception setup so a caller can press 0 to be transfered to the operator when they get somebody's greeting. This works fine, but the only problem I have is sometimes I get complaints because the a few callers wait to press 0 after the beep and then they get "invalid Entry"...

    IP Office Restarting

It's a 406 running version 3.1[65]. Not aware of any power issues, but we do use all 5420 handsets which did require us to get different power supplies as that did cause problems when the system was first installed. A VCM is installed since we have remote locations, but our other sites don't...

    IP Office Restarting

Our IP Office 3.1 has been randomly restarting. Usually it's been at night so when I come into work I've noticed the system has been reset, however yesterday it happened during working hours. It finally came back up but it took awhile as it seemed to be cycling through the boot process about...

Integrated Messaging - Deleting old voicemails

Thanks for confirming that. The instructions only stated that you shouldn’t have the voicemail emails in public folders, but I could also see that it would only check the root folder. I sure wish I hadn’t told him he could make a voicemail subfolder to help him organize his emails.

The user had moved the IMS messages into a subfolder within his inbox and I'm now wondering if since they were not in his direct inbox but rather a subfolder of his...

Integrated Messaging - Deleting old voicemails

We have integrated messaging installed and I had a user come to me today when he tried to open his old voicemails from outlook and got an error message: The System was unable to make a connection to your handset. If the system has been denied access please check that your handset is not on...

    DNS Network Problems

We didn't make any changes to our internal ip configuration. The only change we made was to our DNS servers forwarding entries. Our internal IP address for our DNS server, IP office and the static IP address of voicemail server are all the same.

    DNS Network Problems

We have run into a strange problem. We have an IP 406 running 3.2 We switched over to a new internet service provider and when we changed our DNS settings on the network it causes the phone system to stop functioning. It doesn't terminate existing calls, but you cannot dial new calls. As soon...

Off Hook Tone - Users not placing in Cradle Correctly

We just installed an IP406 Office Version 3.1 with 5420 digital handsets and I'm having trouble with users not placing the handsets correctly so that their phone is off hook. On our previous system the phone would beep when left off hook is there a way to make IP office do the same so the user...
