MRRegan,
I am using CUPS and the settings/options are still not available.
Ben,
I will read your links and see what I can find out.
Thanks to both of you for responding and I will update my post after the fact.
Phil
I am using a Red Hat Enterprise Linux V.4 update 8 with a HP Jet Direct and a HP4100 on port 9100.
The problem: I am having difficulty getting my printers to print the same as on the HP-UX server. I would like to specify Font Type, Font Size, etc. to allow my documents to print the way I am...
Resolved the problem by splitting the database. What I mean by that is we copied the database itself to each users PC while the data tables(already in a different database) stayed on the network source.
Thanks to everyone for your assistance!!!
To my knowledge there have been no new installs, maybe MS updates only. Maybe Adobe Reader or Java.
Users are limited but some have admin rights. Even the ones with Admin rights get the same message. As soon as someone logs in a LDB file is created.
Every user can enter/update data.
Not...
No, in the past many users could be in at the same time. Now this is happening. Doesn't matter who goes in first. Once someone gets in the DB, every other user gets this message and cannot get in until the user exits.
Using Access 2003 and recently began receiving the message: The database has been placed in a state by user 'UserID' on machine 'PCId' that prevents it from being opened or locked.
This is a multiple user DB. The first user can log in fine, anyone after that receives this message and enters...
Anytime I try to connect to another PC I get the following error:
A database could not be found with the name supplied.
This just worked last week and now nothing works. I have reinstalled, etc.
Any ideas? I am new to SMS.
Thanks,
Phil
I have a Access database(2003) with approximately 350 records. While in form view, on a particular record a user would like to be able to Export Only that record to Excel(2003) versus the "Export All". Presently they can print the selected record only while in form view and it prints exactly...
I understand how to issue the hot key commands, but I was wondering if there is a way to change that to be a default, if at all possible?
Thanks for your input. Any other ideas?
From the Windows menu, selecting Arrange, the menu appears asking to select the desired format (meaning tiled, horizontal, vertical or cascade).
If possible is there a way to change the default? Meaning the Tiled option is always selected but I want it to always open Cascade.
Thanks,
Phil
I am using Excel 2003 with SP3 on an IBM Thinkpad. The problem is when I have 2-3 workbooks for copying and pasting data Excel creates a temporary file of the current workbook and the Microsoft Error Report(Send, Don't Send) pops up. When I select either I have to save the temporary file...
I am using Excel 2003 SP2 and I intermittently receive the error message Error: Source not found when I choose to update the links in my Excel workbook. If I reboot my PC it sometimes works and sometimes it does not work. Any suggestions?
I am going to install SP3.
I have a IBM Thinkpad Laptop. When I open Powerpoint and want to view the design templates the white box appears with the name, but there is no picture preview. In addition, it Powerpoint loads very slow.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can them to show up and load faster?
Thank you,
Phil
