Hello, i think that is the problem, for the life of me I can not figure out how I can unlock the cells. I am not even sure why some of the cells are locked.

Can anyone tell me how I should go about protecting a range of cell? I tried to: protect the sheet and unchecked the locked cells but did not work.It protected other cells that I did not want protected.
