Hi,
Yes, you are understanding it exactly. DS1 trunks on CM (not SIP) routing inbound to our Avaya enviornment. This is connected to Lync via SM and Sip trunks 'in the middle'.
I sent a message to the carrier a couple days ago to inquire whether they can send me the digit 1 on inbound...
Hi Kyle,
Thank you for your reply! :)
We do have a DigitConversionAdapter adaptation is SM on the Lync SIP entity. However, I'm not sure how to handle 10 digit inbound numbers that can be EITHER international or domestic.
So if I take an example, looking at an inbound 10 digit number right...
Hi everyone,
Lets say I have an inbound call from Belgium coming to my CM 6.2 enviornment/SM 6.2 (to my DID number). My DID number is call forwarded over to Lync via a SIP trunk set up between the two systems. The call from Belgium routes through my CM, to SM, to Lync and completes fine on...
Hi Kyle555,
The call flow for this particular example is as follows:
MOC user in Brazil calls external phone number (lets say +32xxx in Belgium)
The phone nubmer is sent to Avaya's Session Manager server (US based) via SIP trunk in E.164 format.
SIP server translates the number to the...
Hi Everyone,
I have a global phone system - the main call processor is in the US (along with other shared components like voicemail and session manager). All other sites globally are LSPs off of the US main processor.
Lets say Session Manager receives a request from an associate in Brazil to...
Hello everyone,
Does anyone have a link to a good document describing how to create a new profile in CM that is limited in terms of what can be done with it? I'd like to have some trainees perform some basic tasks in CM and then up their priveledges in time... I want to protect them and the...
Hello Everyone,
Just completed testing with our vendor, and we found that the issue is the version I'm using. I cannot duplicate this issue if I use version 6.1.7. Our vendor is opening a support ticket with Avaya now.
Thanks, just thought I'd share.
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone sucessfully dealt with the following 1XC configuration issue?
I have the General Settings>Dialing Rules options configured correctly with
the number to dail an outside line (9)

Hi,
In our enviornment, if an agent deferrs an email contact, we can see it on WebACD. I do not beleive you will ever see it in CMS, as CMS shows agent states and call related information - not email information. Is this what you meant by oldest wait time? Where are you seeing oldest wait time?
Hi mattknight and rejackson, thank you both for the replies,
rejackson, you are right - they want to make sure our Avaya equipment gets the BW. Our voice network is seperate from our data network, except for one item I can think of - One-X Communicator. That voice application is a true...
Thanks Everyone!
Hi Matt,
Im not sure what you meant about trusting the edge devices... I would like for the the network team to trust the marks they are receiving from our gear(All of our Avaya gear is already set up for QoS and sending the markings), but they don't what to do this.
But...
Thank you both for the replies!!!!
So let me ask this - is it safe to say that if I have an ip addressed component, it neds to be set up for Qos and the IP address needs to be reflected in an access list?
I have a list of all IPSIS, Gateways, Default Gateways, Medpro's, Phone IP ranges...
Hi Everyone,
This might be a new one for you all...
We want to enable QoS on our MPLS network in a different way than Ive seen in all the Avaya docs. All the Avaya docs I see clearly state that we need to put specific configurations (markings) on certain devices (MedPro's, IpsI's, Nettwork...
This is all really great information!!!! Thank you all for your advice! I will be looking into these suggestions and comparing with my system set up tomorrow afternoon, and I'll let you all know what I find. Perhaps there is a way to improve things afterall....
Thanks :)
Heather
The get forced takeover command works as well, and I dont have a problem with that...but once I type the command it takes 10-15 minutes for the phones to completely be registerd back to the main site. Than's what I was questioning. Thanks for all the feedback!
Hi Guys,
Thank you for the feedback! The timer is set to wait an hour before it will try to fail back - and that works perfectly. But once the process starts, I guess I just thought the phones would move back to the main hub site faster. After the hour is up and the network has been stable...
Hello,
We have a main hub site (CM5.2), backed up by an ESS in another country. Our remote locations are also outfitted with LSP capability, and hang off the hub site. The failover setup is that all phones register to the main procr, then failover to ESS mode in the event of an issue at the...
