Hi Everyone,
Has anyone sucessfully dealt with the following 1XC configuration issue?
I have the General Settings>Dialing Rules options configured correctly with
the number to dail an outside line (9)
the country code (x)
the area code (xxx)
the pbx main prefix (xxx)
the number to dial for LD calls (x)
the number to dail for international calls (xxx)
the extension legnth for internal extension calls (xxxx)
the legnth of national phone numbers (xx)
I have the boxes checked for apply the dialing rules for outgoing calls, and the public directory config is set up and working properly so that we can do name searches and 'click to call' our associates from 1XC.
The issue is that if I try to use 1XC to click to call someone, in most cases it works perfectly and the call is routed as I'd expect - except in one case. If I try to use 1XC to call someone OUTSIDE of our company that shares the same area code and pbx main prefix as we use, the call does not go out because interprets the phone number we are trying to dial as an internal number - and it is shortened to only the last 4 digits.
I tried to remove tyhe area code and main prefix configurations from the 1XC configuration, and it then allowed the nubmers to go out properly, but it also created a different problem. In this case, all of our INTERNAL station-to-station calls ended up routing out over the trunks ($$) instead of being treated as an internal call.
So I had to put it back to the original configuration.
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? I saw that there is a onexcuiadmin tool that allows you to use regular expressions to write the dialing rules, but I dont knwo if this is the fix, and I also dont know how to write a regular expression. Anyone have a clue for me?
Thanks all.
