Ok i installed a valid cert and my test dummy is sync'ing. Now i'm at the point to where i need to fix IIS to redirect to the proper site. I don't want to make it to difficult for my users to access their email from the internet. For some reason i have some that can't seem to handle the /owa...
The certificate error is one i can work around easy enough and i've got my test dummy out and am tweakig with it. However, the sync error i'm getting is not certificate related it's basically telling me i can't find the site. I guess i should state that my ultimate goal is to enter...
I deployed E2007 SP1 and all email functions are now working correctly. Right now you have to enter https://mail.ourdomain.com/owa ok the certificate error (another problem for another day) and you're in, which is ok but i have a fleet of smartphones that absolutly hate it and will not sync...
I've recently deployed a new exchange 2007 server and i'm having problems with the IIS part of it. The website is working fine if you type the https://mail.ourdomain.com/owa which is fine and good but i have a fleet of smart phones that do not take well to this. In the old IIS 6 it was easy...
As part of our network/computer policy we have an interactive logon message that the users must agree to before they logon (nothing revolutionary thus far). About a month ago i depolyed a Windows Server 2003 server and promoted it to our FSMO DC. About a week after that (there were no...
We're still in the testing phases of smatphones (Blackberrys are a bit pricey)but i wanted to make sure that they had 24 hour access from something. Which so far it seems they can.
This is kind of a noob question but i have several Senior Execs who want access to email 24/7 via our OWA. I do not have a problem with this since the machines that they use to do this are company owned and secured (not to mention the required SSL connection to OWA). Their logon hours does...
Thanks for the tip. Looks like i won't be able to use SSO untill we replace all of our TS servers with Win 2k8 and our workstations with vista. Good information though.
Is there a way to pass the login credentials to the terminal server? I know that you can specify a user id and password from Terminal Services Configuration console that everyone uses but thats not what i want to do. I want my users to click the TS Client shortcut, connect to the proper...
After manully copying over the policies and a gpupdate /force I am happy to admit success. Now I have to further tweak my policies to make them perform exactly how i want them to. Now i'm off to try and fix my replication problem. Hopefully i can fix that easy enough (cross your finger) if...
Bah. . . Had to work a 1/2 day on a Saturday. Oh well i can guarantee that it will be like a Friday afternoon, no one will call unless it is absolutely broken and they have to have it, so i guess i'll use this time to work on my problem. :P I checked the policies on all my DC's (there's 6 of...
Ok the group i had my test user in is a security group. I set the security settings back to authenticated users. Still no luck. I used the group policy results from the GPMC and saw that the policy was still not being applied on my TS server. I checked the policy events tab and saw that it...
Thanks for the suggestions. I used that KB article when i was initially setting up this server. I consolidated the 2 policies back into one (didn't make sense to make 2 policies to begin with but i didn't hurt to try). THe group that will have the GPO applied have been given the Read and...
An update. I created 2 policies, one for the computer configuration and one for the user configuration in the TSSERVER OU. I enabled the only the computer config on the computer config policy (obviously) and i only enabled the user config on the user config policy (again obviously). I then...
Sorry i assumed some information. None of the policies have been applied to the test user. They have full acess to things that have been explicitly restricted (like all the local drives and things like the control panel). I have done the gpupdate /force and that didn't work either.
Ok, I'm a little confused and I could some guidance from an expert. I have deployed a Terminal Server and put it in its own OU (we'll call the OU TSSERVER for clarity). I have installed all necessary software and can log into the machine and run the apps using Terminal Services. I also...
Thanks a ton. I was using the adprep on disk 1. I was assuming the latest server was an R2 but i guess it wasn't. Guess thats what happens when you ASSume. Thanks 58sniper. PS These fourms are one of my favorite sources when i need help because i always get an answer.
