I deployed E2007 SP1 and all email functions are now working correctly. Right now you have to enter ok the certificate error (another problem for another day) and you're in, which is ok but i have a fleet of smartphones that absolutly hate it and will not sync. WIth E2003 and IIS 6 it was an easy fix just redirect, enter the virtual path, and select the "a directory below url entered".

I added the http redirector feature and have tried setting it to /owa. It would give me the page to ok the certificate error but after that it would give me a page not found error. I've also tried various other combinations in the http redirector, like and nothing seems to work. If anyone could give me some help i'd greatly appreciate it. If you need more information don't hesitate to ask i'll be glad to provide it. As long as it doesn't compromise security. :p

Thanks in advance.

The smartphones won't sync due to the cert error.

Go to godaddy and buy one - something like $20.

Not very smart them phones are huh?

(sorry...couldn't resist)

The certificate error is one i can work around easy enough and i've got my test dummy out and am tweakig with it. However, the sync error i'm getting is not certificate related it's basically telling me i can't find the site. I guess i should state that my ultimate goal is to enter from either a pc or stupidphone :p and get to the correct page.

Ok...how about this one, which just earned someone a star due to it's making me laugh out loud and have people look at me like I'm crazy:

" 1 man IT department with 1.4million potential consultants.

Though some of them will give you a hard time for not googling the answer. "

I'm glad my chair had armrests...I'd have fallen out otherwise!

I think what Zel is telling you is if you fix the cert error, the sync error will be resolved as well.

It is usually the case. There used to be an SPV500 where you could manually install the cert but I don't know if you can do that any more especially if you need a SAN cert.

Ok i installed a valid cert and my test dummy is sync'ing. Now i'm at the point to where i need to fix IIS to redirect to the proper site. I don't want to make it to difficult for my users to access their email from the internet. For some reason i have some that can't seem to handle the /owa added onto the end of the url.

so make a zero second redirect from root to /owa and paste it into the index.htm page.

Thats's what i ended up doing. Not my preferred method but works just as well. Thanks for your help my CEO appreciates it. :)
