Perfect, MitelTech! That's exactly what I needed to know, and I now have X-Lite running on a couple of lab boxes. (For fun I might try a pair of my el-cheap-o BudgeTone phones :) Thanks for the help.
There's a JavaScript example at http://www.pratie.com/playground/play/icalendar/; shouldn't be too hard to turn that into VBScript. You might also find the iCalendar spec itself to be useful (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2445.txt).
Outlook2ical might also help...
The problem here was twofold:
- when creating the SIP peer I put in the FQDN of the Exchange server as the SIP registrar. Don't do that. Once I fixed it, I started getting "ACCESS DENIED" messages on the phone.
- this was because the COS options "Public Network Access via DPNSS" and "Public...
I have the TSB and followed it; that's what got me into all this trouble :)
Turns ou the answers are:
1. you do not have to explicitly create a SIP trunk
2. there are no additional SIP-specific options, unlike e.g. Asterix
3. this remains a mystery
Per kwbmitel's suggestion in this thread, I wanted to ask some basic questions about creating and working with SIP trunks on the 3300.
1. Do you have to explicitly create a SIP trunk object, or is designating a trunk in...
I notice that after I installed the 7.1 UR2 load, my existing analog trunk definitions are gone and I can no longer place outgoing calls using the two analog lines I have connected. I didn't explicitly create a new SIP trunk. How do I do that?
I don't think there's a way to do what you want; the AA expects to see .wav files, but it won't help you get them.
I'd use a good-quality USB headset and a program like Audacity (a free audio editor). Why? That way you can edit the recording, change audio levels, and do other sweetening tricks...
I have a couple of clients who are heavy Entourage users on Exchange 2007, and that's what I run at home and at work. Are you having a problem, or just curious?
I loaded 7.1 UR2 on my 3300 and am now setting it up to work directly with Exchange 2007 UM. To do so I've been using the Mitel instructions, including the following:
- created a network element using the FQDN of the Exchange server
- created a SIP peer profile for the Exchange server, using...
OK, so let me make sure I understand this. My handsets are extensions 5001, 5002, and 5003. My analog lines are xxx-xxx-8305 and xxx-xxx-8308.
1. I created a circular hunt group, 5000, using day and night COS 1.
2. I modified trunk service assignment for trunk 9 (the 8308 LS line) to have a...
Thanks for the Q1 answer, Lundah-- I found the trunk label and experimented with changing it, but didn't think of blanking it.
For Q2, will this work to allow either of two analog lines to ring all handsets? The simplest acceptable functionality is for 1 line to ring 1 handset; that way I can...
I'm the rawest of Mitel newbies, so apologies if this is a blindingly obvious question.
I have a 3300cxi with 2 5340s and a Navigator. Extension-to-extension calling works great. I plugged an existing analog line into the LS1 port on the ASU, and when I dial "9" on a handset I can place an...
