I tried downloading the file you linked, but it doesnt have the firmware in it.
So I think it might be worth upgrading our phone system to 3.2.69. Will R6 firmware phones work on that?
Thanks.
Hello all. I am trying to downgrade one of our digital phones, the 5410 from a version 4 to 2. I looked in the IP Office Manager folder and only see the 5410_R6.bin. I did upgrade the call manager software to R6, but our firmware for the IP Office is still 3.2.
does anyone know where I can...
Hello all. We are on an IP Office 406 3.2 (54).
One of our phones (a 5410) went offline so I unplugged/plugged back in and it kept waiting on "please wait."
So I went into the sysmonitor and kept seeing
92318401mS PRN: Hatric 1 Chan 3 unrecognised message format:
92318401mS PRN: BUF...
haha thanks guys. :)
our receptionist does other tasks like sort mail so she is always walking around.
I will look into the 3711 phone. that looks pretty nifty.
Thanks for the advice everyone!
Hello all. We have an IP Office 406.
I was wondering, are there headsets where you can remotely do call forwarding to other extensions? Or pick up multiple lines like on the IP Office phones??
I know there is the basic headset where it can do remote lift, but it cant forward calls.
Thanks!
hmm i tried connecting the "no answer" and "busy" to a "transfer" module and it works.
if i use the leave message module, the phone rings twice, than hangs up.
so if i use the transfer module instead, the phone rings twice, then goes to transfer module, then rings again (3 times) and then it...
Hi aarenot.
I am having problems. After the call list module, do i have to add anything? The problem is after they key in the extension, it says their name, and then hangs up. I tried adding leave message module "no answer" and "busy" but it will still hang up. Any ideas???
Hello everyone.
We have a night automated system that can have people dial by name. I was wondering, is there a way to have the automated system list everyone in our company?
So ex: Press 1 for ....[John Doe will say his name]
Press 2 for ....[Jane Doe will say her name]
etc?
We are...
Hello all.
We are getting an ip office 406 (digital phones) for our current office. we are planning on getting another space that on the same floor but one office down (about .
I was wondering, what are possible solutions for multiple offices that are close to each other? I am going to try to...
The purpose of DHCP-relay is to have a DHCP on a subnet to manage the IPs for other subnets. So if you had your DHCP server (192.168.0.240) on the 192.168.1.x subnet it would assign IP addresses in the 192.168.1.x subnet.
But what if you had another subnet, say 192.168.2.x? Would you buy a...
Hmm so i can use 5e for digital? cool didnt know that. our current office has a few cat 3 drops for voice so i figured that was the way to go.
as for a TCO, never done one of those before. I will try to do those for practice. Thanks for all your help!
Hmm i am not a switch expert but I think you have to add ip helper addresses which are generally used for dhcp relay agents. I have a procurve 2824 and this is what i did:
If my data vlan DHCP was 192.168.0.240 and voice is 192.168.1.1 I do:
> config
(config)> vlan 1
(vlan-1)> ip...
Yes I totally agree! I wish I came across these forums before I went ahead with the hosted provider. It looks great on paper, especially for our company since we have never purchased a phone system before.
Now I am in another dilemma:
we are looking into a IP PBX system and am stuck...
They are actually resellers of Covad's T1 lines. I know their VoIP service isnt that great but they have really good tech support. That was one main reason why I went to them. However, I would rather have excellent phone quality than great tech support.
What kind of VoIP providers are you using?
They said they were hosting their own VoIP, but when i checked the SIP server it was another company that is contracted under them. Speakeasy (www.speakeasy.com) is the company.
Our switch is really good, a Procurve Gigabit switch with everyone running at 10/100. Our network traffic is also...
