Changing switch IP address using Hyperterminal

If you are adding it to a switch stack then you really should wipe it's config completly (wr erase / erase start). It will then join the stack as a stack member and take the config from the master. Chris. ********************** Chris A.C, CCNA, CCSA **********************

NAT and Public IP on same interface?

I don't understand what you have a public /26 but you are just NATing traffic to the outside /30 address! What you need there is a firewall which would handle all your NAT, *or*, put the public /26 on a loopback interface and then just have the internal range on your Fa0/1 interface, NATing your...

    Routing problem?

There is nothing "wrong" with the routing here. Your ISP is correctly routing the traffic to the correct network, in this case BT. The issue is on the BT network. 8 10 ms 9 ms 10 ms core2-gig9-0.telehouse.ukcore.bt.net [208.185.15 6.218] 9 11 ms 11 ms 10 ms...

    IOS download

If you are on a remote network and not even physically connected to that router, how exactly were you planning to do it over a console cable? If you are close enough to attach a console cable, then you are close enough to patch lead into the ethernet port and do it properly. Chris...

    routing issue with pix 501

If those users only have a default route of the Pix 501 and you are hoping to use that as a gateway and then route off that to your other network then it won't work. The Pix is NOT a router.
