Hello,
Am currently using VS2002 and have just installed Visio Pro 2003 and am wondering if it's possible to have Visio write code from UML.
Things I've seen online suggest that must be using the Enterprise version of VS and to an extent am wanting to confirm.
For example I understand the UML...
Backing up as requested :)
As per my original note I wat to run my macro in DESIGN.
Like Excel (yes I understand Crystal ? Excel), I'd like to record a macro then rerun it after tweaking it a bit.
I'm concerned about lining up objects and a applying a number of formatting options to said...
Hello,
I'd like to record a macro in Crystal that, for example, applies formatting to a group of objects.
This macro would ba available to me in DESIGN mode.
Thanks!
I went with Option 2 and it appears to be working well.
Thanks both you and lbass :)
(Madawc, your post is good too but I needed to see it spelled out since I'm such a Crystal Noob)
This thread hits the spot!
One issue I've run into using this approach is that if there are no components to average, the field is blank (ie, not even a 0).
How do I avoid this?
Vamp,
Had a look at DETAILS and how one can be supressed is a condition is met.
So I'm wondering if a report where the DETAILS (and their supporting page header/footer etc) can be event driven when in print preview and also the actual print.
Please recall in my scenario there will be only 1...
Grouping by a field would be hard to do in this report as each of the 30+ records is an individual day.
In fact the source table has only one indexed field and that field IS the individual day.
hey vamp! You get around! :)
Actually I brought Excel into the discussion because of it's flexibility.
What I'm really after is a Crystal Report for paper size A4 in Landscape with a really W-I-D-E detail row in which a single record consumes perhaps 3 pages.
Easy enough if I had only 1...
Hello,
I have a report requirement whose columns span multiple page AND has multiple rows... Am having difficulty building it.
Assuming I needed multiple detail sections but for each section need a header.
Imagine an Excel report with 30 rows consuming columns A-Z where A-M (with header/title...
Thanks KM, that's a valuable post.
No, I do not want to dump a lot of cash into the system (per my original post) nor do I want to implement an old crusty machine as the foundation of my network:)
The HP angle, perhaps for a fortune 500 or 100 company makes sense but not for a mom & pop shop...
Can you be more specific regards what works?
Because it seems that using my example DOES NOT work for you as you've said you don't use SET POSITION.
The .011 trick does work for me by the way although the numbers in SIZE AND POSITION still do not jive with WYSIWYG - therefore making it hard...
Hard to believe that I would have a misunderstanding regards how SNAP-TO-GRID works as I've been a MS user/programmer for some 16 years but perhaps so.
I don't see from your response that you simulated the example.
Please try this:
Create box 1 as: x=4.0, y=4.0 H=.5 Y=.5
Create box 2 as...
Your suggestion to 'play' with the box until it clicks correctly I've tried over and over and withot success.
I've also changes the grid size hoping a change would spark a true snap but it does not. I've considered computing the box based on the grid (as you suggest, i think) but that is...
I create a box that then snap to grid and both the top and left side of the box align perfectly.
But the right and bottom almost, but not quite snap perfectly.
I then copy the box and paste it next to itself and because the right side of box 1 doesn't snap perfectly, there is what appears a...
Hello,
I rememeber the day when writing reports in Microsoft Access and the handy dandy SNAP TO GRID feature, also support in Crystal 3.
But, the snapping to grid almost, but not quite works where drawing a box, the top and left side snap perfectly but the right and bottom are woefully off...
Thanks kmcferrin, that does make sense.
Now that I think about it, MAXIMUMPC built a dream-machine not this but last year and it was dual-core, dual-proc and if memory serves, was built with Opteron heads. Don't recall why but assume your post is spot on. Need to go back and read the article...
Adding a 2nd nic to my toy isn't a solution for a number of reasons but foremost, the OS is XP Pro 32 (and won't be upgraded to a server OS in my forseeable future).
Hard to justify my position on the proc as my positioning is based on years building enthusasist machines. I know for example...
Hello,
First off, apologies for posting in this forum regards hardware but none of the other forums in the daunting list of forums seemed to apply.
About me...
I'm developer working primarily in the MS arena and, per the subject, have access to MSDN subscription and therefore, access to a host...
