The amp has not 'night bell' which by the sounds of it I'm guessing has a timer connected to it so that her extension could always ring the aux ringer but would only work at night. With just a ring generator hooked between the aux ringer and paging amp I'm trying to figure out an easy 'one...
I've got a customer with a full paging amplifier setup up for their production area and they want to be able to make the system ring over those speakers during the swing and night shifts. Any ideas on how to do this?
The system is a CICS 7.1 w/ half a dozen 7316e phones and the primary DN is...
Ok Curly I got it, thank you.
The difference between the posts is one is the customers and the 2nd is my office unit where I am testing this. Worked like a champ, thanks!
Rik, that works great. I'd rather not have to use the * but it does work.
Curly, I'm not sure I follow you on creating opt 1 as Info AND Menu... Do you mean make it a menu with option 18 transfering to reception?
Yes the CCR is enabled.
1 - Mailbox
2 - Info (Company Directory)
3 - Info (Gathering Times)
4 - Info (Address Info)
5 - Info (Special Events)
The issue being the company directory tells you to press 1XX but won't allow you to do that until you've listened to the whole message and go back to the...
I have a CP100 on a CICS that answers on the 2nd ring with the Auto Attendant. Outside callers can dial the specified extensions during the general message but once they get into any of the menu items (ie 2 for meeting times, 3 for location, 4 for directory) the extensions won't work.
Is there...
RikRodgers: No the clid does not correctly represent the incoming call, however it does always correctly tie the displayed number.
I think I have one of those cheap boxes, I can't believe I didn't try that first >.>
Curlycord: I'll try turning off the CID from speed dials tomorrow and see if...
I have a CICS 7.0 4x16 w/ CID card and 5 T7316e phones. The call log on all of the phones will create an entry for missed calls, but when you review the entries only about half of them are correct. The remaining half of them are incorrect, and the incorrect ones ALWAYS show up as one of the...
I thought call logging was setup but it must not be. Every phone is set to 'log all calls', but I get a 'no log' message if I use F812.
What else is required?
That seemed to have no affect. The incoming calls are flawlessly forwarding to the answering machine on the fourth ring, that isn't the problem.
The problem is if they answer an incoming call between the third and fourth ring the system seems to still forward it to 117 because 117 pick up...
Currently the prime line on all extensions is 'line 1', except teh answering machine which is 'none'. Are you saying the 7316e exensions or the answering machine extension should be set to 117 as prime?
After I set 117 (the answering machine) to FWD no answer to 4 what do I tell it to forward to?
I tried modifing it to 'ringback', 3, 4, and 10. It still happens regardless of the setting. I even removed every line assignment, line pool, and intercom line from extension 117 and it still does it.
To clarify, if they answer between the third and fourth rings then the light for x117 will...
I was under the impression the 'Delay' setting inside the ATA programming was designed for a delay on the hangup timer and was disregarded if your dev type was 'telephone'. Is that not the case?
The site is a few blocks away so I will go try to modify the setting to 4 or 10 and see if that...
The unit is a 7.0 CICS and I'm using a Bell South basic answering machine on IATA (x117). 101, 102, and 103, forward to 117 on the fourth unanswered ring. This all works correctly. x117 is set to IATA, with 'telephone' as the device, and 3 as the delay.
If they answer the phone on or after the...
I logged in via hyperterminal and changed the default ip to 192.168.0.10 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.168.0.1 (router). However I cannot log into it using IE by browsing to http://192.168.0.10.
If I de-energize the CP100 I cannot ping .10, however I can when it is...
