I have a CP100 on a CICS that answers on the 2nd ring with the Auto Attendant. Outside callers can dial the specified extensions during the general message but once they get into any of the menu items (ie 2 for meeting times, 3 for location, 4 for directory) the extensions won't work.

Is there any way to get it so that callers can press 101-107 at any time to reach that extension?

Thanks, Ben.

Has the CCR tree been enabled?
Are there routing points for: press 1 for x(transfer to VM info MB), 2 for y(transfer to VM- info MB), and # for company directory?

The calling by extension number will work as stated, if you put the greeting in the AA greeting.

Also is 2, 3, 4, ect.. set up as menu's or do they point to an Information Mailbox. Because if it goes to the mailbox then it makes you listen to the recording before does anything else.

Yes the CCR is enabled.
1 - Mailbox
2 - Info (Company Directory)
3 - Info (Gathering Times)
4 - Info (Address Info)
5 - Info (Special Events)

The issue being the company directory tells you to press 1XX but won't allow you to do that until you've listened to the whole message and go back to the main greeting.

Make sure return to aa=y, and in the ccr tree, they'll have to press *,ext.

You have option 1 as INFO, make it MENU....but also create path 18 as a Transfer to reception to fool the tree to think it's complete correctly otherwise MENU is for pressing even more single digit options.

Rik, that works great. I'd rather not have to use the * but it does work.

Curly, I'm not sure I follow you on creating opt 1 as Info AND Menu... Do you mean make it a menu with option 18 transfering to reception?

Sort of, your first and second post conflict.
Lets go with you second post (company directory press 2) and use path 28 not 18.

Path 2 = MENU
Path 28 = TRANSFER

You cannot enter digits during an INFO box thus why a * is needed. This is a bit tacky and should be avoided if you can although some systems like Avaya I think are worse.

MENU on the other hand will let you enter digits however it is expecting you to enter more single digits so if you were to create just Path 1 as a MENU then you will get the "incomplete tree" message when you go to enable it.
So yes the work around is to fool it be adding 1 more path deeper to do anything you want, I just have a habit of enter X8 or in this case path 28 and I make it a Transfer to reception.

Ok Curly I got it, thank you.

The difference between the posts is one is the customers and the 2nd is my office unit where I am testing this. Worked like a champ, thanks!
