I have a CICS 7.0 4x16 w/ CID card and 5 T7316e phones. The call log on all of the phones will create an entry for missed calls, but when you review the entries only about half of them are correct. The remaining half of them are incorrect, and the incorrect ones ALWAYS show up as one of the names/numbers that are programmed into the system speed dials.

Has anyone heard of this or know what could be happening? The Telco company insists that it's the CICS and has nothing to do with them.

Ok, so the CICS is correctly displaying clid on some of your calls, but not all? Is the clid name correct? When you call them back on the displayed number, do you not get the correct company?

If there's any question as to where the error is coming from, you can pick up a caller id display (10-15$) at a local department store, and wire it to line 1 at the demarc. They can't argue with what's displayed there.

Maybe you might have a speed dial as ABC company but the call ID is XYZ Holding who owns the company and has a different display with Telco then what you programmed in the system.

Also people will call out on lower lines and not the main line, these lines may also be named different with Telco.

If you want note down the spelling of the call and change the spelling in the Speed Dial.

I suggest turn off the Speed Dial Feature.

RikRodgers: No the clid does not correctly represent the incoming call, however it does always correctly tie the displayed number.

I think I have one of those cheap boxes, I can't believe I didn't try that first >.>

Curlycord: I'll try turning off the CID from speed dials tomorrow and see if that helps.

Thank you both for the suggestions, I'll post back again after I try both!
