    XP Machine works for awhile, then shuts down.

    I will recommend a BIOS upgrade to see if that works, or leave it at safe mode for a while, if it shuts down in safe mode it must be a hardware issue.

    This means the disk has failed and if your are running RAID 5 config the +1 disk has taken over, if any other disk fails you will lose the data!, so change it ASAP. Probably your array manager should tell you the problem, and running like this is on degraded state, so any changes to the array...

    If it is emulating 16bit it will sure take a lot of processor time, or running the game in a "compatible" mode. My suggestion is to close the game if taking a rest (this applies to all games, not just this one)

    You don't need to reinstall XP, simply go to device manager, see what PC it detects (standard or multi), select update driver, try to look automatically for the ACPI multiprocessor PC or else choose it manually, restart the PC and it should work.
