Using Sidekick 98 under Win 98 - low resource problem

As a late postscript to my original problem of running out of Resources under Windows 98SE, and only with that version of Windows AFAICR, my solution was simply to migrate to Windows 2000. I have no Resource problem now. Thanks for all the responses. Peter

    Continuing mast:wk problem

Dear James, TVM for both sets of advice, which I have followed. MAST:wk is looking good. No error messages so far. 8-) The Time Zone is fixed by pretending that San Francisco is my Home Town, rather than London. All 8 cities on the EarthTime screen are displaying times 8 hours ahead of what...

    Continuing mast:wk problem

Sorry Jim, I submitted my reply before reading your response to the time problem. The PC time is correct, ie true GMT for me while SDK98 World Time display is 8 hours ahead. I had not noticed this before, either on my present Win2K PC or on the Win98SE PC I used several months back. But I...

    Continuing mast:wk problem

I am running Sidekick 98 under Windows 2000. Have been using it, or earlier versions, for many years since Borland introduced it. Previously ran SDK98 on a Win98SE PC but found this gave resource problems. Peter

    Continuing mast:wk problem

I have followed the advice in Sidekick FAQ Q15 but the error message still appears and ToDo's do not carry forward. When I open *INIT.SKW there is no CalTodo section, or any other section - just 7 calendar entries interspersed by strings of non-printing characters. Nor can I find anything like...

    Time error on reinstallation

The World Clock shows time in my home town (London) exactly 8 hours ahead of the GMT it should be showing. Why should this be and how can I correct it?

Using Sidekick 98 under Win 98 - low resource problem

Thanks for all the response. It seems there is no solution. My workaround is to run SDK for a shortish period only and then close it whereas in the good old days I would leave it running in the background continuously. It surprises me that noone has yet designed a functionally similar program...

Using Sidekick 98 under Win 98 - low resource problem

I dont have any of those programs running but do have others such as a modem monitor for fax, Norton SystemWorks, HotSync & Truesync. The unique feature that holds me to SDK is the ability to link Contact details to Addresses. Plus, of course, Syncing it all to a handheld Palm. I heard...

Using Sidekick 98 under Win 98 - low resource problem

My Sidekick habit began in DOS days and is not readily dropped. But Windows 98 runs out of resources after a few hours with SDK just sitting minimised on the PC Any suggestions, please?
