does anyone know how to put a diagonal (rather than horizontal) strikethrough a character in Indesign CS2. I need a letter e/
I know I could use kerning but it is a bit painful as it doesn't replace, if searched and replaced.
Also I can't find a glyph set with one

no I can't see a way of automatically doing it, however you could just wait until you have finished the layout and you know how many pages there are in total, then go to the master page and change it to <auto page number> of 44, and it will automatically update all your pages.
When I use the "rule above" option it seems to put the rule above the margin on the page i.e it is higher than the actual margin. So the text is aligned but not the rule above the text.
Does anyone know how to make the "rules above" align with the margin rather than the text automatically?

hi, thanks for answering, yes that's what I was thinking as well. I wonder if a graphic can be saved some how as a font. I have a dictionary to do and they want over 500 entries pasted in. I'm just trying to find a quick way to do it.
