With IRQ sharing it is unlikly there is a conflict, unless the sound card wants exclusive rights to that IRQ. It sounds more like a driver issue.

Sounds like windows just did not assign the parition(s) on the drive a drive letter, if Disk Managment can see the drive.
To fix in Disk Managment right click each partition, and select, Change Drive Letter and Paths..., then click Add, this will give you all the availiable drive letters just...
The easiest way is to attempt a repair installation of XP. You can also put the drive in another PC as a slave, and recover them with the OS installed on that PC
I have two files that are encrypted on my server. I recenty formated my notebook drive, the system that encrypted these files. I cannot decrypt thsse files now. Is their a program that will decrypt these files (Preferablely trial or free)?

Is it possible to have the Retail and OEM Versions on the same CD/DVD and selected which one to install.
I am guessing that their would only be afew files differance.
Right after I posted this, we figured out what the problem it. Their is 2 gig of ram in the system and one of the 1 gig sticks of ram is bad.
Took that bad stick of ram out and install windows with out a problem.

Actualy no I had not checked that link. I seen Windows 98 and skipped over it. I really never though about going to Windows update Catalog.

Try another USB port sounds like USB port your are using is bad. If you do not have another port and you are using a Desktop buy a PCI USB expansion card. If you are using a notebook purchase a PCMCIA expansion card.
