I actually resolved this problem by using a Windows XP driver instead of a Server 2003 driver from HP's website. I have no idea why that one worked but it did.
I'm trying to install an HP4300 printer on my print server and having a real hard time with it. I'm trying to install it to a TCP/IP port on my server, which I can ping the printer from the server, so the jet direct card seems to be working properly, however, when I click "Finish" at the end of...
From my understanding, once a workstation obtains a valid IP through DHCP, it will always ask the DHCP server for that address and will get it unless that address is in use. My problem is that I have two DHCP pools, one for general use and one for a specific lab. One of my machines obtained an...
There is a lot of info there. Most of which I'm still sifting through. It just seems like there should be an easier way. You can specify the print driver when installing a local printer using printui.dll but there doesn't seem to be a driver switch statement for installing a network printer...

I need to change two environment variables for users in my network, specifically a software oriented variable SMLNJ_HOME and then add something to the PATH variable. I would like to do this using a Group Policy in Active Directory since I have a fair amount of users who will need these changes...
Our I.T. department is currently in the process of researching a means of checking company email outside the bounds of the corporate network, i.e. web access. Right now we are considering two main ideas, Microsoft Outlook Web/Mobile Access and Citrix Web Interface. The key factor in...
Printer: Xerox Phaser 8400
I have two issues:
First, can anyone inform me on how to remove a stuck waste tray. Xerox's support website says they are currently researching the issue.
Second, I'm having issues when printing accross a WAN. Specifically, the printer only prints in black and...
