    NEC Aspire to CM 5.2.1

I'm trying to link a NEC Aspire 6.2.1 with a ISDN PRI trunk to a Avaya Communication Manager. I know the Avaya side very well, but am lacking on the NEC Aspire side. From what I understand, this is a older NEC and may be limited in it's functionality. Maybe someone has done this before? We...

Troubleshooting dropped calls @ 180 min

Thanks for the response. These are from a inbound call, specifically Webex. We use the call-back function. I did check the setting and the timer is blank on the COR.

Troubleshooting dropped calls @ 180 min

Over the past couple of weeks we have been experiencing some dropped calls that seem to be related to a timer of 3 hours. We have two PRI's and a G3si v11 with 3 G650 cabinets. I'm not aware of any changes to the pbx or service provider in that timeframe. I've opened a ticket with the service...

    H.323 trunk - two Avaya's - assistance

I'm building a H323 trunk between two Avaya's. One is 5.1 - S8510 with g650 cabinets, clan's and medpro and the other is a S8300D in a G450. I've set these up before and had never had this much trouble. I was hoping it was something simple that someone can point out. The sig groups are...

Remote network region with audix g.729

Thanks for the reply. Today it is setup as NR99 and only has G.711. It must means that when anyone in a remote gateway access voicemail it uses G.711 and not the preferred g.729. I'm just trying to manage bandwidth QOS over WAN. I was just hoping to find out a way for remote users accessing...

Remote network region with audix g.729

S8510 with onboard audix. If I have a remote network region that I want to use g.729 with over a WAN, it works fine with designating g.729 to another remote station. But for audix it seems as though I can only connect to the audix with g.711. Using g.711 locally is fine, but having...

    System Platform on S8300D

beest, Sort of off topic, but how hard was it to upgrade from 5.2.1 to 6? What are some of the preperation things? Licensing issues? etc. Is this really something I need to have the vendor do? I've installed LSP's before and the doc's are pretty good. Thanks.

I searched but did not find much, even google. What is the difference between MM710 and MM710B? Is it just a hardware rev? Both compatible with all versions? Thanks,

    IP Softphone export of settings

What about roaming profiles? What about copying profiles from one PC to the other?

    IP Softphone export of settings

Not sure what to do about that one. Is it not just a one time thing when they first log in?

    IP Softphone export of settings

For our installs, we do a basic install of the software and then copy in edited xml files with everything you need except the extension and password. Then when the software starts, it reads these xml files and gives you a pre-configured client. Might try something like this. Check here...

    Analog disconnect tone?

This is with an external PRI and internal analog lines. The internal analog lines just drop when disconnected from an inbound.

    Analog disconnect tone?

Today when someone calls an analog line from external and the external person disconnects, the analog line just dies/disconnects. Is there a way that the internal analog line can provide a feedback tone or something to indicate that the external person has disconnected? We're using some analog...

Asterisk <--> Avaya CM 5.2.1 - one way audio

I successfully setup the h323 trunk and works great. The only issue is that when trying to use a PRI on the Avaya to route calls originating from trixbox sip client it is denied because it is trying to send out video. I have never been able to get around this.

    Avaya One-X & Windows 7 Integration

I have the same issue. But if I uninstall all installed versions of C++ 2005 redistributable and install the version that comes with the communicator package, then it will recognize it and install successfully.
