No worries. Looked at their css file and came across ::selection and ::-moz-selection. Went digging on google. Here it is. Learn something new everyday. :)

Go to the url below. Highlight the main body text, you'll see the font changes red. How'd they accomplish that? I never thought of that feature 'til now. I'm curious to know how that's done.
Anyone? :)

Thanks.
Hey thanks guys. I figured it out by using function to find out the location of the cursor and restricting objects to move out of it's set boundaries/coordinates!
Thanks for any thoughts!
Oh my. Can't believe something I see all the time on websites could be so troublesome to replicate. Either that, or I'm just terrible with flash. The latter. :)
Anyhow, I'm still trying to create this:

So far the hover pop was accomplished. Now I need the...
I agree with the last post.
Anyhow, ever since I discovered the beauty of CSS and how lovely it can be when it comes to dvi-ing things out, I've never gone back to tables.

Looks fine here too. Interesting, you design your web pages for IE? I figure as long as IE is doing it and Firefox is not then there's definitely some problems with the code. If it doesn't render well in Firefox then it most likely won't look good for Safari. [Your client may not be catering...
Hello, I'm trying to create the effect similar to:

What I actually did was:

Import my image
Create new layer and draw shapes on wanted area
Convert new layer to symbol button and then edit in place

From what I believe I know, you can make links in director. Either manually or by use of the behaviours.
Window>Library Palette>Navigation
Drag and drop the behaviour "Go to URL" onto a sprite on the stage, then enter the requested URL from the pop up menu.
You can also use the Text...
Thankyou for all your help. I got it fixed. FINALLY!!!! Here's what I did eventually. Removed quicktime and Macromedia. Ran a cleaner(CCleaner) that would delete any existence of them being on my pc. Then I first re-installed director, after which I opened a .mov file with it to make sure...
I have the lastest version 10.1 installed.
Here are the .mov and .dir files.

From there you choose to download the Windows or Mac file.
Thanks again.
What do you mean a border? You probably have the resisable option checked for the Movie Properties. It appears as a border but it really isn't.
To make sure that it is not checked, here's what you do.
Click on an empty space in the score. This will allow the Property Inspector for the movie...
I'm also new to this, but here is my 2 cents. :)
Firstly, you might want to create markers, that will jump to the particular video frame when you click on the buttons.
With your buttons on the stage, right click any one, then from the pop up menu go to "Script...". After which, you will now...
Get PS CS2. It allows for preview of the font face from the drop down menu.Or do like Kandsuk said, use another program that has that feature available. I use PS CS and I use Microsoft Word to view my font faces.
Thankyou. This is what the menu says for the .mov file obtained from the dvcontrol.dir I mentioned earlier.

This is the menu for another .mov file.

Neither of these files...
It apparently does this for more than one .mov files. I downloaded dvcontrol.dir ( http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14829 )and the movie file within it did the same thing with the white screen and the audio playing. I know how to check codec for .avi files but...
If you mean in the Property Inpector in the "Quicktime" tab where you see the other options of enabling and disabling "Audio","DTS","Paused","Loop","Controls" and "Streaming" then yes I have "Video" checked there. Still the white screen with audio. :(
Hello.
I've been having troule seeing the video for my quicktime sprite. When it's placed on the stage I can hear the audio, but the screen is white. Any ideas as to why this is so?
If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. New to Macromedia DMX here. *embarrassed*
