    Right click Systems Management Server in the admin console, choose All Tasks, Connect to Site Database. On the Locate Site database screen, choose the second option and type in the name of the server. Make sure you choose to load all console items.

    Use a query based collection, then you can distribute the software package to the entire collection... If you used a query, you would have to distribute one client at a time from the query results.

    What sp are you using? Have you checked the subnet mask and verified it is correct, and do you have Windows Networking Logon Discovery enabled?

    Yes, SMS will run with SQL 2000 and SQL 2000 will run on NT 4 sp 5 or later. However; I am not sure how well SMS will run if you are using virtual instances of SQL 2000 and not the default instance.

    Try using SMS Installer, create a snapshot before and afte file and print is enabled, package the snapshot, and push it to the client. If that doesn't work, find where in the registry file and print is enabled and write a batch file, push that.

    does anyone know of a way to show a progress box in a vbscript that is being used for logon scripts? I want to show the user the progress box as the script executes and messages in the progress box telling the user what is going on.
