I have used various flavours of Dells from a laptop using 133MHz SDRAM(?) that would take anything ( up to a total of 512MB of RAM) through to a one year old smokin! desktop that was quite touchy
For the desktop I sourced RAM in the UK from Maplins on the basis it came back if it didn't work...
You could set it up (if it is online for a lot of the time) simply to use the NIST timeserver independent of any 3rd party package... but it might not be as sexy :)

In passing, the CPU fans on some of these Dells are shrounded in a plastic trumpet and sound a lot quieter when cleaned of all the encrusting dust and debris, a colleague of mine even lubricates the fan bearings with a very small amount of machine oil (3 in 1 oil) but I am not brave enough to...
You can test the basic "does it work" functionailty of the power supply by bridging the green and black outputs with a length of wire pushed into the plug that is normally fitted into the MOBO, this won't check that the voltages are right or that it can deliver enough power BUT if the PSU...

533 MHZ is your FSB speed
The only time I ever saw a processor speed be reduced by a peripheral was with a very slow HDD
If you are tweaking for gaming, have you tried a reboot and checked the data again.. I have found AIDA32 (google it)...

Spoke to Antek via email, I have returned the PSU to them, I have been offered a replacement pending examination of the PSU, the same board fired up fine with a 250w PSU so it sounds like the PSU failed rather than it being torched by my incompetance... 3kg cost £17.00 to send to NL from UK via...
I get the temperature issue when discussing oil temperatures in my Mini (original cooper) web group .... processor temperatures are a similar issue? (except over cooling might not have negative concequences for procesors?)
So I googled and found this among others...
