i'm going to be leaving for abroad with a laptop soon, and was wondering if there was a way to download the full Win2k service packs (1 and 2)? i won't have any sort of broadband connection abroad, so if i have to format/reinstall windows (god forbid), i certainly don't want to have to...

yeah, me too, except for file sharing i've chosen IPX. TCP/IP still used for internet, but not bound to file sharing or client for MS networks. IPX is though. i can browse the win98 computer's files just fine from my win2k system, but not the other way around. keep getting that "IPC$...

i've just migrated to win2k... is norton speed disk for win2k able to optimize folders/directories on FAT32 volumes? i know that it's not possible to do so on NTFS, but i thought this was doable on FAT32? am i incorrect? i've tried to set it up, but speed disk for NT/2K has so many fewer...

unfortunately, this puts all the folders at the end of the list. previously in win98, if i arranged by date, regardless of ascdending or descending order, the folders would be listed before the files...

how do i get my files in win2k explorer to be listed by date in descending order (most recent files first)? i have just migrated from win98SE, where listing the files by date put them in descending order. Win2k seems to do it the other way around - ascending - which means i have to scroll over...
