BCM does not support SIP endpoints/extensions on any release.
Only Nortel IP2033 conference unit will connect via IP.
Ternate sly use analogue or digital models as mentions in the last post
Reprogrammed from scratch. Was only 10 phones and a fractional rate. Nothing fancy either.
Hadn't got a backup anyways, as it wasn't a system of ours. Just someone in trouble.
One thing I am curious of though. Lets say it was a heavily customized system and there was a recent backup...
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the responses/advice.
Just to clarify for anyone else going forward. I replaced BCM50 R1 with a BCM50b R3
Keycodes migrated fine. Original unit to be shipped back Avaya but all good and system is running R3 and everyone is happy.

BCM R4 will not do SIP authentication and Nortel only implemented this in later releases. If your provider can use IP authentication as opposed to SIP registration you may be able to get it...
Nope, done quite a few and messages never migrated. I now make it a point of getting the customer to inform their users that all mailboxes will be deleted and they will be starting from scratch on Monday.
Funny, messages aren't the only thing it leaves out. It's like DMM is possessed and just...
