Hi Guys -
I recently starting upgrading our office to Office 2007 from 2003. I've had no problems with any WinXPP machines. However, when I attempt to upgrade Windows 7 machines I run in to a lot of problems.
Most recently, After what I thought was a successfull install of office 2007 on Win7...
It's actually just an additional calendar in his mailbox. He created a Calendar, called it 'Company Calendar', then sent out sharing requests to the people in the office that needs to see it. So, is there a way to tell activesync which calendar to look at?
Here's my problem:
We have a company calendar that everyone uses for all of our appointments. My boss (the owner) wants to see that calendar on his phone. I've explained to him that it's not possible or that i've not come up with a solution for that. So his next question was
"Can't i just...
I fixed it. Not sure why this worked..
I manually removed all the drives and re-run the login script and it's working like a champ!
Maybe it wasn't releasing the drives and keep trying to recreate? Not really sure.. but it solved the problem.
Brand new computer... does everything fine except accessing the drives in My Computer..
Remember that if the drives are accessed via 'run', they work extremely fast... even our programs that access the data server have no problems.. just in My Computer...
Antivirus isn't scanning..
When I try to open My Computer, it takes a minute, but then once open, the C: drive works fine. If I try to open any shares, it's taking between 30-90 seconds to open... if I open from RUN, it's immediate.
DNS is fine. It's work station specific. Here's the weird thing...
If I go start -> run -> \\servername\share... it's fast as lightning.. It's only when the shares are accessed via My computer.
I've even tried manual mapping a drive and have the same outcome.
The computer has a fresh install...
Question..
I have one computer out of 15 that locks up for 30-60 seconds when they try to access their shared drives. They are running the same script as all the other users and they are the only one that has problems. It's on WinXP on a Server 2003 Enterprise Network.
Computer is a Core2Duo...
I'll have to do it tonight. You do not think that this could possibly mess anything up, do you? That's my only concern. I do trust you as you've given me nothing but great advice throughout the last 3 years with Exchange.
So I clicked OK and Then Apply and this is what it brought up. I am leaving this up and not pressing OK.
"Server(s) GA-EXCH-01 do(es) not have the correct ports configured for services being used by RPC-HTTP. To continue you must configure these ports.

Zel - When I press the Exchange Back-End button, this is the error I get:

Zel - When I go to ESM and press the RPC-HTTP tab, the only 2 radios available "Not part of an Exchange managed RPC-HTTP topology" and " RPC-HTTP back-end server"
The RPC-HTTP front-end server is grayed out. FYI.. I'm using only one server for exchange.
I do not see the radio for "I'm not an...
I know I know... but here's the deal Zel.. I'm setting up a new exchange server at my new office and I don't want to put any more work in to the server at my other office. Unfortunately, my fiber Internet won't be in for another 15 days and I'm currently borrowing a t-1 from the building. Once I...
