    Automatic update of activity progress on the schedule

    Hi - I don't think so. I beleive MS Project forces you to update the start date versus automatically moving it so you're aware of the change. If it were to just move any past due dates to the "today's date", you could have a lot of unintentional slips in the schedule.

    Autocalc may be turned off. 2 ways to fix. Hit F9 and see if it updates all your dates or go to Tool/Options/Calculation and make sure the "Automatic" radio button is selected under Calculation Mode.

    Hi - I don't believe that's possible. And if it was, it would likely take longer to configure Project to do that versus just entering the duration of each task manually.

    Just to be clear, it sounds like you want to have a SS with the task's predecessor and a FF with its Successor, correct? If so, that would mean for the task to really finish with its successor, its duration would need to change if task has already started with the SS and the successor'd finish...

    Thanks - good 2007 features included better task driver identification, multiple undos (my favorite), better graphical reporting, cell coloring capability and auto highlighting of changes (easier to see impacts of changes). Maybe not "compelling" but still considered useful enough to upgrade.
