We are using desktop messaging and when you listen to a message thru outlook it does not extinguish the MWI light on the telset about half the time. If you access callpilot from the phoneset it says you have one new message and will play and then extinguish the lamp. It shows it is read in...
Has anyone ever seen this error when trying to sync the pbx with an NTP server? The PC's on the network don't seem to have any trouble getting their time but I get this error every time the PBX tries to synchronize.
I have a CS1000 release 5.5 with MGC cards in it. When I try to do Shelf Test (SHLF 4 0) I get an NWS961 saying that is not a valid test on IPMG systems. Does anyone know what the comparable test is on the newer platforms/software. I know if I have LD 30 in midnights it disables sets that...
I assume this is a large system? If is was a small system and you are adding signaling servers you would have to upgrade the call server hardware too. The upgrade procedure in the NTPs for the large system is pretty straight and simple to follow.
The sig servers do require 1 meg in 5.5 also. I think the only way to see what memory it has is to hhok up serially and it will tell you at the beginning of the boot up how much memory is installed.
I have never done it in element mgr but to do it from pdt you can...
1. Download MGCCADXX.LW file from MPL library
2. Copy this Loadware file to a compact flash card
3. Insert the compact flash card into CPP-M call server faceplate
4. Log into pdt2 shell
5. Copy MGCCADXX.LW from compact flash...
Thank you 911guru. The sets did magically change their TN, that was a relief because I did not relish the idea of going to each set, rebooting each one and re-entering the TN.
Just a few notes for anyone else looking at doing this.. we did have to get into all the SRG's, modify the MOTN and...
When we upgrade our small system rls 4.0 PBX to rls 5 I am told the TN's will automatically convert from 2 fields to 4 fields during the upgrade. We have a number of IP sets on the system. Will we have to go to each set and reboot it and put the node number and the "new" TN in?
