The folks that need to cover the receptionist are all in one area... What if I do a call coverage of ext10 to a single phone in that area, and program the others' phones with a button to automatically pickup that line if they hear it ringing? Can I give it a distinctive ring, perhaps, so they...
I might be getting closer...or darker in the tunnel. In my testing, I dial the main number and folks hit 0 ...but it rings four times, then says "transferring to the receptionist", then rings the same extension 10 again, but after two rings it then transfers to ext 22, which then rings line 7...
Thanks for the help on this - I took a look at the other threads as well..had a couple questions, though..
I'm not real clear on how the wiring should be going. I have an open line (#7) in my system. Are you saying to physically connect ext10 to line 7, so when someone tries to call ext 10...
I have a partner R6 system, and am trying to make some changes, and am not quite sure how to approach setting it up..
When someone calls the system, they get a list of phone extensions, and they can choose the operator at x10, or it defaults to them if they don't make a choice. Problem is, the...
I'm currently supporting two Partner R6 systems which are in office a couple miles apart from each other. Is there any way to connect the systems for direct extension dialing and to alleviate the headaches for customers dialing in and having to be transferred back and forth via centrex?
Wasn't...
I've got the same exact issue going on. I've now purchased two of these 'upgrade' cards that don't do anything. Going from R3.0.2 to R6 - same symptoms. Sealed mailer from avaya, etc. Didn't purchase it from a dealer in Redford, Michigan by any chance, did you?
I attemped the upgrade and it didn't do anything. Powered down the system, put the R6 upgrade card in slot 1 of the processor and turned the system back on and waited a few minutes - light just stayed green and it stayed 3.0.2. Are there any troubleshooting resources on the web or suggestions...
If after checking feature 59 the 6.0 went through ok, what did you mean by the part after that - "if that is the case, then you can back up your programming, then swap the processors and restore from your card"?
Before I take the system down I would do a manual backup, then if the 6.0 upgrade...
I currently have a 12G2 R6 upgrade-backup card and was planning on using it on a R3.0.2 ACS processor. Is this a straightforward upgrade, or are there some risks or additional work that will be required?
Thanks for your help,
Pete
I had a question for the ACS gurus out there.
I am working with an ACS R6 phone system that has a call forwarding option to a centrex line which connects to a sister office, also running a similar ACS system and it's taking forever.
From the moment you hit the number to be transferred, it...
