Has anyone found a way for Arcserve 11 or 9 to auto inventory when tapes are changed. In Arcserve 6.5 and 2000 I could do the pre job that started and stopped the tape engine. This does not work in AS 9 or 11.

Bear67, Glad to see I am not alone. Just to compare with each other, what kind of server, scsi card and driver and tape drive are you using?

The tape engine debug is off and the server has been rebooted, therefore all Arcserve services have been recycled. I am using 7.0 build 1050.

I have moved the tape.log file to another drive in case it is needed. But now my job starts, in stops the tape engine and will not restart it. Any ideas? Thanks
