VB connect to Windows CE connected device.

Is there a way when a Windows CE device is connected to via craddle and active sync to be able to access data either from a vb program running on the device or from the pc to the device? We'd like to do some updating of files on the devices but not just overwrite with the normal active sync...

    Intermittent msdtc problems.

Thanks, I did get them to send me this cumulative post sql 2005 sp2 hotfixes and while the dtc issue is intermittent so we might not know for a few days whether that helped, it did seem to help performance issues a lot and took care of a couple other things here and there. I'll post a reply...

    Intermittent msdtc problems.

I don't see anything in sql or the system and application logs. I don't seem to be able to open the dtc log, is there something special I need to view this log? Not sure how to post screenshot here but here is a link that I have it saved to so you can view. http://www.general-trading.com/dtc.bmp

    Intermittent msdtc problems.

Since upgrading our sql sql servers from 2000 to 2005 on win2k3 servers, we've been having some distributed transaction problems. They seem to be intermittent messages about not being able to enlist transactions. I have checked around and most articles say that it has to do with security in...

    xp_sendmail with email attachments.

Thanks. I tried doing from a network share on the sql server itself and that worked so we can probably work with that. Must be something that changed with sql 2005 upgrade because they tell me that this worked under 2000. Thanks again, Joe

    xp_sendmail with email attachments.

We are trying to use the xp_sendmail procedure in sql 2005 to send some emails that have attachments. We are getting message about access to attachment file(s) denied when users run this. It works fine when on with admin and we know the users do have access to the attachment drive. It also...

    Windows 2000 IIS 5 to Windows 2003 IIS 6?

We are looking to move our current Windows 2000 IIS 5 server which serves as our ftp and web server to a new Windows 2003 IIS 6 box. Is there a way to transfer the data from one to the other? We have a lot of virtual directories setup so that would be a pain to recreate. Thanks, Joe

Move SQL 2000 to new box.

Thanks, I just found this article that gives detailed steps if you can have a little downtime which we can. Does this look good? http://vyaskn.tripod.com/moving_sql_server.htm

    Lock computer by policy?

Please worry about yourself! I only did it becuase it involved 2 operating systems, not just 2000 pro but 2003 server so that is why I did it because not sure which place was the best to handle it! When you respond like you do then other people might think that someone reponded and not even...

Group Policy or something to lock computers.

We're running mostly Windows 2000 pro clients and Windows 2003 domain controller and would like to know if there is a policy or some way to automatically lock computers after a certain period of inactivity. Without having to go to each computer and set the screensaver settings. Is there a...
