If I remember correctly, you need to add the /boot on the imagex command line when building the boot.wim...
That said, I'd suggest using the boot.wim from a Windows 7 release candidate.

That sounds like DoubleTake or NeverFail - both products are supposed to do that. They aren't cheap either.

System State Backups take about 2-10 minutes (usually 3-5) and use between 500 MB and 1 GB of space. Considering this, why WOULDN'T you backup all the system states?

They could mean they are simply preserving the AD by running a second DC. Or they could be using something like DoubleTake or NeverFail to ensure they have an "up-to-date" backup remotely.
I'd suggest you find out what exactly they mean by "syncing" since the term could have several meanings...
In my instance, I wasn't concerned about browsing - or even \\servername and \\workstation name - I couldn't PING - which has no reliance on WINS, especially when pinging by IP.

I don't buy that. VMWare is the STANDARD in Virtualization - so many organizations wouldn't be using it if Memory Sharing caused instability to any significant degree.
This doesn't mean I don't respect Hyper-V. I like it. But lets face it, it's a 1.0 product.

What are your specs on the server?
As I understood it, Hyper-V does not do memory sharing. As a result, you need more RAM than you would to run the same number of servers on VMWare. Otherwise, I agree, they are both going to perform "virtually" the same.

In theory, this should be possible. Now I may have had an underlying problem, but when I tried to do this, I could not get traffic to see clients on BOTH networks. Servers saw each other, but the clients on one network could not see the clients on the other (Network A saw B, B DID NOT see A)...
There are tons and tons of documentation available on Windows and Virtualization. In general, VMWare has the edge, at least with memory management. But Hyper-V is a good choice, especially if you don't need many systems on one server.

SBS must be the FSMO master DC. If it's not SBS will start rebooting itself every hour after about 1-3 weeks (depending on certain factors). If it's been more than that since they were installed, then they must of illegally hacked at SBS to prevent these reboots. That is a violation. Because...
How critical is your web site to your business? What would happen if your internet went down for a day? Or if the server crashed? How detrimental would it be to your businesses image and/or your ability to impress potential new clients?
If the answer is that it would make little difference...
I've never heard that logic before... but it's not bad... Of course, you just said that EVERY small business and Microsoft is dumb because I've never encountered a small business that didn't use the email address and user name as the same thing.
You could have left off the "dumb" part... but I...
No, I'm aware of that... but I don't consider it a good idea because now the user has to have two different accounts to remember - I know the AD account maps to the email address - but strictly speaking, since the email address has to be unique, why not keep the usernames matching - the Keep it...

Where is the information store? If it's on the C: drive, MOVE IT. No data belongs on the C: drive. Further, storage is CHEAP. Add a couple of SATA 250 GB drives in a software RAID 1 for about $100. It would be better not to use software...
Most people I see use (and prefer) first initial, last name - so Joe Smith is jsmith. Personally - though I don't use it - I prefer the method used at my first major employer - which was lastname - and in the event of dupes, lastname + first initial - using Middle initials or multiple letters...
The Exchange Database will NEVER shrink BY ITSELF. The mail/mailboxes removed will release the space for use my other messages, but the file itself should remain at it's current size for some time (until that 12 GB is used again).
You CAN manually decrease the size - but it's not generally...
To be clear, you need to add any domain you want to use Exchange with to the Exchange Recipient Policies - see:

In NT4, a BDC is a READ-ONLY copy of the accounts database. BDCs can authenticate users against the read-only information. (I'm certain) If a user isn't found or a password doesn't match, it will try to contact the PDC for verification of that account. (If I remember correctly - it has been...
