    johnny99, How did this turn out for you? Did PuTTY help? I am especially interested because I have one server (among many) that have all been maintained in the exact same fashion, yet this one server the MUI will not function (i.e. the http service will not run or restart). It used to work...

    You have the option of using an application like "PuTTY" and ultize SSH connection to the box and then control the console remotely with that. Very small foot print. ("PuTTY" is a freeware telnet type client downloadable from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html)...

    What is the purpose of having the floppy connect at power on? Have you tried booting the XP machine and then selecting to manually connect the floppy? If so what was the result? Perhaps this sounds silly, but is there a disk in the floppy drive? [ponder]
