VM doesn't boot when I select Connect at Power On floppy

Hi all,

I am running VMWARE ESX, I have MS Server 2003 running but when I select Connect at Power On Floppy on my Win XP image, It seems to go through all the motions like finds the cd but then just black screens and does nothing...

If anyone has any ideas they are more then welcome...

What is the purpose of having the floppy connect at power on? Have you tried booting the XP machine and then selecting to manually connect the floppy? If so what was the result? Perhaps this sounds silly, but is there a disk in the floppy drive?
