Seems that in this process, SMGR or SDM prefers to use FQDN for that field, and in doing so, you need DNS or host entries to resolve FQDN to IP Address...resolved...

When adding a new Platform with SMGR's SDM, for the Platform FQDN or IP field, is it recommended to use FQDN versus the IP Address of the host? I've tried both ways and keep getting errors.
And have already re-generated new certs for the ESXi hosts and added the body of their...
Hello there, new to Red....just built my first system...question, when you build a SIP User Profile in User Management, on the first page after Last Name, First Name, what and when is the Login Name and its Password used? LDAP? I been searching all over, some lead me to believe its for the...
thanks for the feedback, but yes, from SMGR web, I have marked my 2 features buttons as favorite...still doesn't show up. Removed 2 of the 3 call appearances so there's only 1 appearance, but the phone display still shows 3, and none of the features buttons.
Looks like you need to alias a J139 as a J169 when trying to program it on a CM. However, the buttons seem to not want to update as programmed. Anyone having this issue?

Does anyone have a guide, or know of one (NTPs/ATPs) that explains what the licenses are for in a printout of LD 22 SLT?
I've been around Nortel (M1's, CS1000's) for well over 10 years, and yet, some of those still baffle me.
Most are self-descriptive and obvious, but a few are not.

Quick question, if I load the current Deplist onto Core 0, will an EDD write them over to Core 1?
And then after that's completed, if I manually push a database replication to my Survivable Media Gateways, will it include the Deplist from Core0/Core 1?
Thanks in advance......
The object is the computer itself.....2003 server.
I have 2 that needs to be set up to replicate ADAM, however when we re-built the Primary server, the ADAM instance name got changed somehow and I need it to be the server's computer name.
Can it be renamed without corrupting the database?
Please help. For some odd reason, after rebuilding an application on my 2003 server that uses ADAM for database replication, the CN=Servers name is not that of the computer's host name as it should be.
Can I just rename it without it causing corruption?

I have a scenario where I need to replace CCMA. The CCMA I would like to use as the replacement is from a different system.
I had a stack on an 81c that is no longer in production, I also have a stack on a 1000e. Same databasing, just different PBXs. Same Server HostNames, just different...
I had a similar situation with ports locking up like that. If I recall, it has something to do with the PBX not seeing the disconnect from the equipment. One suggestion was to use an OPX analog card that was used for analog phones at a far distance, Nortel made the ports more sensitive...
If you can verify that it is analog, then throw a butt set or an analog phone on it, dial an extension that has a display, write down what extension number pops up and then:
LD 20
PRT
DNB
CUST 0
write down your TN, then do a:
PRT
TNB
this will be your programming of that port.
