    gpo upgrade to 2003

I'm not explaining very clearly. I assumed the new server was running the gpo, but when I turned the old server off to move it and test the situation, the gpo did not work. The 'my documents' folder redirection still goes to the old server. So I've turned it on again! T

    gpo upgrade to 2003

I mean the new 2003 server is a domain controller, running active directory, dns, dhcp. The old server is still running; I haven't dcpromoed as I thought it would be a good backup, and I've been migrating gradually over 2 visits a week. Thanks for replying. Tricia

    gpo upgrade to 2003

I've added a windows 2003 server to a previously 1-server 2000 domain and thought the new server had taken over all roles. I find that the gpo is still dependant on the old server. Does anyone know how I can solve this please? Tricia

Is raid causing my small c: drive?

Just for the record, Dell tell me that it was because I had used a standard windows 2003 cd, and not sp1. This gives rise to the 4gb problem - and yes you're right I should specify the whole drive for raid. Thanks for the responses anyway.

Is raid causing my small c: drive?

That's what I did the first time. So was it installing the windows drivers in the server setup, that changed things? Thank you for the replies, by the way. Tricia Paget

Is raid causing my small c: drive?

Thanks. But do I take it that to get a 20gb c: drive, I have to allocate 80gb?

Is raid causing my small c: drive?

I set up windows 2003 on a Dell poweredge 840 and allotted the c: drive 20gb, with Raid 1, I thought. In computer manager, the c: drive is described as 20.11 gb ntfs, but in 'my computer' as 4.00gb. If I set it up again, how do I avoid this happening please anyone?
