Is raid causing my small c: drive?

I set up windows 2003 on a Dell poweredge 840 and allotted the c: drive 20gb, with Raid 1, I thought. In computer manager, the c: drive is described as 20.11 gb ntfs, but in 'my computer' as 4.00gb.
If I set it up again, how do I avoid this happening please anyone?

If you're using the OpenManage CD to do the install, you'll be presented with a little slider to allocate space to C:

You need to slide it to the right.

Thanks. But do I take it that to get a 20gb c: drive, I have to allocate 80gb?

No, if you are using the Openmanage CD you do as Pat says and use the slide bar, move it to the right until it says 20 gig.

That's what I did the first time. So was it installing the windows drivers in the server setup, that changed things? Thank you for the replies, by the way.

Is it possible you didn't set it originally to 20GB but allowed the OpenManage CD to install Windows using the default setting (I am assuming which is 4GB)?

When you partition an array, to say, 20GB, OpenManage still seems to pick a smaller amount for the system drive. You have to tell it to use all of that space (drag it all the way to the right).

If you're just using a smaller piece of a larger array, then drag it to the desired point, as pagy mentioned.

Just for the record, Dell tell me that it was because I had used a standard windows 2003 cd, and not sp1. This gives rise to the 4gb problem - and yes you're right I should specify the whole drive for raid. Thanks for the responses anyway.
