    BCM Licenses

Thanks for everyone's responses. Very helpful and good to know. On another note, can one post jobs here?

    BCM Licenses

We have a number of legacy BCM400s and BCM450s. (Actually a couple of MICS units too!). I'm hearing it's getting harder and harder to find licenses for these things. Is this something everyone is seeing? Should I start freakin'? Last I checked, there didn't seem to be any issue...

    Exchange Dial Tone Recovery

I need a little "grounding" here. We are a multi-site, multi-server organization. We're running Exchange 2003 (non-enterprise). The priv.edb at one of our sites became corrupt (about 20gb). We decided to do a dial tone recovery. When we brought the server up with the blank database, we...

    Advise on Exchange 2003 Backups

I appreciate the advise. Given that its 50GB or more, the time to repair it may be 8 or more hours. What if I discover that it is corrupt during business hours? Wouldn't it be better to wait until later that day or some non-business time to do the repair?

    Advise on Exchange 2003 Backups

We recently had a situation where our our priv.edb became corrupt. It was well over 50GB. So, running a consistency check etc took a long long time. We use NTBACKUP to do hot backups and it turns out that the backup was inconsistent too. Not good. Not sure why we didn't do a dial tone but...

    DIDs on a BCM50

Thanks everyone. This is good info. I'm going to go with a partial PRI. Even though DID trunks are more expensive, they can typically be installed in less than 2 weeks. Sometimes even one. I have to wait about 3 to 4 weeks for my PRI's and these guys are eager to pass out there cards.

    DIDs on a BCM50

Will a BCM50 support DID trunks? I have heard that it will not. The only way to get DID numbers if via T1 or PRI. It will handle POTS lines but not DID. Help.

    .vbk to .wav conversion

When forwarding a .vbk file to someone who does not have the desktop client, I understood that the file should be converted to .wav. Ours did it for a while but quit. Any suggestions? BCM 400 running 3.6

    Information Only Mailbox

senk1s, you read my mind. I didn't ask my question well but you hit exactly what I want to do, send a target line to an information box. Or, could I setup a normal VM and give it a custom class of service so there is no storage?

    Information Only Mailbox

Is there a way that I can setup an information only voicemail box? E.g. someone dials and all they hear is an outgoing message without the ability to lease a message?

    Faxing on 150

Can I receive faxes to voicemail on the 150? I know you can route to a fax extension.

And while I'm at it.....Does the BCM have Find Me Follow Me

Does the BCM have find-me, follow-me type features?

    Unified Messaging

Is there any way to have a voicemail show up in your main outlook inbox so you don't have to go to a seperate inbox to retrieve your voicemails? Also, this would give us notifications on our blackberries that we have voicemail.

    Nortel VOIP or Cisco?

I am need of some advise. We are currently a 25 location corporation with about 600 people total. Our average office size is 15 to 25 people with the exception of 3 that are over 50. Most of my sites have MICS systems (0x32) running CallPilot 150's and DR6.0. My large sites have Option 11's...

One Way audio using i2050 over a VPN

Sounds like your VPN is timing out. Are there any parameters that you can change on the router to see if you can extend this? Another idea is to make yourself a little batch file or right a C program (VB or anything for that matter) that pings your gateway every 30 seconds or so. This will...

    Voicemail Access

I have a strange situation and I wanted to see if anyone out there has encountered it before; one of our office admins reports that a user "accidentally" got into her voicemail. The system magically glitched when the person pressed their button to go to voicemail and dumped him in her...
