Try deleting any downloaded plugins to Internet explorer. Go to tools>Internet Options>General Tab>Settings>View objects and delete them all.
You can download these again upon demand, and this may sort your problem, I have seen this a few times on customers sites where the plugin is locking...
I am running that same mouse on Win2k SP3 without any problems. However, the only difference is that I am using the PS/2 adaptor that shipped with it because I have other USB devices installed.
Have you tried using the little green adaptor that ships with it?

I would also group your web users in a separate container to all the rest of your Internal users and delegate one person to admin that group. It makes it a helluva lot easier if you have one person that can issue the...
Have you thought about publishing certificates to authenticate the users? I am guessing you are already registered with Verisign, so I cant see a problem with setting up the users in AD and then issuing certificates to allow them to access your web server.

Have you tried rebooting the laptop? If that doesnt do anything, Log off, log in as administrator and check the dial up settings on the administrator login.
Failing that, try booting up into "Last known good configuration"

Have you tried dialling into your mailbox on your ISP and manually creating a mail using Telnet? If you can send it to sareen@wigtest.com, this works as an auto responder and is a handy way of testing whether you can send & receive.
