Access - ascii text to date conversion

In the table design view, I tried to change that column from a text field to a date time field. It gave me a multitude of warnings and would not let me do it. One of the columns is bound to another table, but not specifically the column that I am trying to change. I think I will have to go...

Access - ascii text to date conversion

We have been populating an Access database (dbase4) with another program since '97. The date has always been entered in as text in the format of mm/dd/yy. Now we are told that it needs to be in date format. Is there a way to convert an existing column of text characters into a masked date...

Sovled the issue. Refer to KB 248430

    Terminal Services Licensing

A while ago, I noticed that the Windows 2000 DC that had the Terminal Services Licensing piece installed was gone. Totally gone! I had 2 10 pack license keys installed. I am guessing that after SP4 was installed that this had something to do with this mysterious disappearance. Anyway, I...

    Arc Serve 2000 SP4 + Domino R6

Thanks for the information. Do they come right out and say that BAB 9 will handle Domino R6, or are we just assuming that? Thanks again!

    Arc Serve 2000 SP4 + Domino R6

In the next month, we are going to upgrade our Domino R5 server to Domino R6. Does anyone know if you can use the Backup Agent for Lotus Notes that comes with Arc Serve 2000 Advanced Edition version 7 SP4 with Domino R6? I can not seem to find any literature on the matter. I know that it...

    Domain logon issue

Thanks for your reply. I am running XP, 2000, and win98se. However, when this 2000 DC server is offline, I can not even get another 2000 server to log on to the network. I can not get anything to log on. Says No domain found. If it was just 98 clients I would understand, but it's everything.

Event Log (Security) Shows Login Failures of Wrong Domain

We have a similar issue. It happens because of our laptop users who take their pc home and hook it up to their home network. Then, they bring it back to the office and forget to change the settings back. All of a sudden a weird username and domain name shows up in the log trying to gain...

    Domain logon issue

I have 2 Domain controllers on my network that are W2K servers. I have a third DC on the network that is NT4. One of the W2K machines is the PDC (of course). The issue that I am having is: When the W2K PDC is offline, no one can log on to the network. Any such attempts produce a message that...

    Terminal Services

I have some users that come in over DSL with TS. Every once in a while, their PC will lock up. When they log into TS again, it opens a new session and leaves the old one alive in the TS Manager on the server. When I right-click on the open session and try to disconnect it or reset it or...

    Uninstalling and Reinstalling Arcserve

There are no pitfalls to loading it on another drive or another partition. I do not have arcserve loaded on C. I have it loaded on E. It will create a share on E just the same. You will just need to do a custom install to change the location. The services that run in the background on the...

Printing From A Remote Server Using DOS command net use

I would not use the 'net use' command at all. Take the printer that you are trying to print to at the remote office and install it on the terminal server. This will only work if you have a dedicated line to the remote location. If you are connecting via the internet or vpn or something else...

Problem with Start Tomcat as a Service

Here is what I did. I created an icon. Here is how it looks. Target - "C:\Program Files\JRockit\7.0\1.3.1\bin\java.exe" -jar -Duser.dir="C:\Program Files\Apache Tomcat 4.0" "C:\Program Files\Apache Tomcat 4.0\bin\bootstrap.jar" start Start in...

    Remote network issue

We have a small node of our network that consists of 2 pcs in a remote office on a WAN. These pcs connect to the home office via 2 routers (one on each end) and a 256 DSL (in between). One gal runs fine all the time. The other gal, well, here lies the nightmare. Her computer experiences...

    notes 5.0.10

I figured it out. Here is the correct code to get the web link to work in the signature file. TR> <TD><font size=4><I><a href=&quot;http://www.website.com/web.nsf&quot;>www.website.com</a></font></I></TD> </TR>

    Upgrading Notes Clients

I just finished with upgrading 250 pcs from 4.6 to 5.0.10. You can uninstall 4.6 if you want, but you don't have to. They can run both at the same time. Remember though, once their design has been update to R5 or Inotes, then they should not ever access their email db's with the 4.6 client...

    notes 5.0.10

I have created a html signature file. It contains 2 links. The first is my email address, which when clicked, uses your current email program to return a message to me. That works on all platforms. The second is my company website link. That only works for others who have lotus notes as...

    Arc Serve Newbie Questions

Service Pack 4 is all inclusive. It goes through and checks for all of the client pieces that you have installed. Then, it installs only the needed fixes for each client piece. It's pretty smooth. One of the nicer things that they (ArcServe) has done.
